I don't think you're alone, but I actually disagree. I think a lot of Pau's "struggles" this year stem from Bynum's increased role in the Lakers' offense, those two have never performed particularly well together when on the court at the same time. Gasol played much better with Odom at the PF. I actually think that a player like Gasol will age fairly gracefully.
No way I'm moving the Knicks pick in THAT deal. Besides, while I like Gasol, I'm not sure I like Les's insistence on playing for NOW unless we're going after bigger game. The only way I'm on board with this is if we're bringing in another also. (and not NeNe)
Again. The guy is not showing us anything now that wasn't evident before. He always knew how to run a PnR, always could get to the rim at will and finish in traffic, always had great court vision and put the ball on point. Seriously, go on YT and watch him destroy John Wall back when both were rookies in Summer League and what he did the other night against Washington is not at all shocking or surprising.
on what one poster suggested. Pau for luifa, martin and lynn buttttttt take back any bad contract they want us to take. and a first round pick from us. =)
Unless Mitch Kupchak is posting on clutchfans, I'm pretty sure he is immune to the scouting reports of breathless Rockets fans heaping praise or scorn on their own players; and since he is the decisionmaker in your scenario, this is accordingly irrelevant.
I am going to only offer Martin and Scola for Pau. They can have Flynn or other guards, but there is no way for us to give up Lowry. Soft Pau Gasol for soft Martin and Scola is just a fair deal.
But with no LINSANITY in NY bcuz of playing time... Lin would not be enticing to any team coming from us as our third or fourth string unknown backup... thats logic
Lowry+Scola for Gasol is a win for the Lakers tradewise, but it could be an improvement for the Rockets too. Scola to Gasol is probably a bigger upgrade than Lowry-Dragic is a downgrade. But Lakers PG upgrade would be biggest of the swap
