Hell...Clutch the Bear could be head coach in this offense with Harden running the show. Just get an assistant coach or two that knows defense.

We need more ISO plays in the playoffs.

2.5 million per year and front row seat to watch the rockets and not make any adjustments is alot of money.

Lowballing on the extension offer and firing Bzdelik and others? Can it be more obvious that they aren’t serious about an extension and want him gone?

D' Antoni will either feel betrayed and choke the season or will feel the incentive to actually do whatever it takes to win. I do however feel like some players... this is his last chance. He is definitely not a spring chicken.

One thing I will say that has been common about this is Morey, these ****ing games are reminiscent to adelman's last days and the FA negotiations that left us scratching our heads way back in the day (landry for example)

@cyberx thanks for posting the insider info. I want MDA gone but the way the front office does stuff is so infuriating. They aren't making any friends in the coaching world. Turning MDA into a lame duck doesn't make any sense. A coach that doesn't give a f also has the chance of wasting a year in Harden's prime. Something they have done enough of already

An average nba coach makes 5 mil. 2.5 sounds pretty low for MDA.

    The change in tone though.

They were willing to pay him 4 to 5 millions from 2017 to 2019 but suddenly they offer him a contract with contigency and dependent on Playoff success.

Typically can't fire him and won't pay him average salary, what type of purgatory is that?

It sounds like they are negotiating in bad faith which sucks. Idk if this is Daryl or Tilman.

Mda said “I want to be part of championship.”

Misled me, he has zero confidence to win champ next season.

It could win 47 wins and miss playoffs if some injury.

Get a contract without playoffs success, relax, no pressure, coaching gets much worse without Jeff.

2.5 million a year, if true, is stupid and cheap on Tilman's part.

Wow, they really are trying to get rid of Mike. Wondering if that is what Harden said about summer plans.

****, I hope the organization will get over this drama asap.

It's plain to see. Morey never wanted Mike in the first place. That signing was all Le$.

Yes. He's definitely the reason we put up great regular season numbers, kudos to Morey

Also the Raptors have implemented portions of our analytic approach, but they also take open mid range shots Morey would frown open. Is MDA to blame for Moreyball?

Not exactly a vote of confidence.

They were hedging their bets, not wanting to be on the hook for millions if there is a direction change. It tells me the Rockets are not 100% confident this team will be relatively the same in 2020. Given the age of the core, they probably have a short fuse going into this season before blowing the majority of this thing up.

Yikes . What are your thoughts about blowing up in-season vs over the offseason ?

If the rockets have to "blow it up" I'd rather do it earlier . On the other hand , if we mid season meltdown maybe we will just sit Harden and try to get a better pick .

Either way , exciting / frustrating times are coming

Likely to win 43 to 50 games next year.
Mda would be happy with ty lue contract 18 million offered by Lakers.

    Some benches gone..
