So what you're saying is they'll repay us by gifting us Wright??

Thank goodness the Rockets didn't bite on Rondo.

Mavs are really good to start the game, but damn are they thin on the bench. They have no one behind the 2, 3, 4, or 5. Really counting on a buyout or FA like O'Neal and a small trade to find something. An injury to Dirk, Parsons, Chandler, or Ellis for any length of time would be devastating.

When healthy, D-Mo/Jones, Big Papa, Terry, Canaan

A great outcome of this would be us getting Dragic and then trading for Wright.

TPE, NOP pick, Knicks 2nd rounder, and Marko Todorovic for Dragic seems plausible for Dragic. Hell, if they want Capella instead of Todorovic, I'd go that far to make sure we can get Dragic if he will commit to an extension.

Then TJones, Canaan, and Garcia (obviously he would have to consent) for Wright should make sense for the Celtics, since Wright is expiring.

    PG: Dragic (Bev, Terry)
    SG: Harden (Terry)
    SF: Ariza (Pap)
    PF: DMo (Wright)
    C: Howard (Wright, Black/Dorsey)

That would be great and much better than the Mavs IMO.

When healthy our bench is much, much better. They literally have no one 2-5, who should be anything, but a foul sponge.

Mavs gave a likely lotto pick. No wonder we lost.

    @WojYahooNBA: Sources: Protections on 2015 1st-round pick Dallas sent Boston: Protected 1-3 & 15-30 in 2015; 2016-2020 protected to No. 7

Wasting your time with that poster. Shows up like clockwork when we lose or things appear to be going poorly. Disappears if we're winning. Rinse & repeat.

That pick won't likely get conveyed for the next 3 years at least barring major injury I don't think. I wonder if that's the case are the Mavs handcuffed from dealing any other future picks until that pick is conveyed?

How long you expect Dirk to play?

This is hilarious. DM ran up the price on Rondo then dropped out at the last second. Stuck the Mav's with a broken down Rondo and they gave up Wright who is having a career year plus 3 role players and 2 picks. Mavs did not improve today.

I keep thinking with dirk they have a 2 or 3 year window before he'd have to shut it down but he's not the typical big. He relies so little on athleticism I don't know how long he can last. Even still I can't see them becoming so bad they fall out of the playoffs where that pick transfers anytime soon.

Rondo is far better than 3 role players + 2picks. That's a steal!

I believe Rondo can make great contribution for Mavs in playoffs.

Rondo will have to play dozens of games between now and then. He is extremely injury prone. They won't be thinking he is a steal when he goes Greg Oden on them.

The Celtics will get that pick in 2016 when it's top-7 protected.

I can. Not because they are so bad, but because the West is so good.
