    Sound like it. But multiple teams bidding on Rondo is expected anyway. I think Houston has more easily tradable assets than Dallas does.

    Maybe Boston is trying to use the Rondo deal to not only get assets but also dump Gerald Wallace's contract.

    Parsons is a pretty good player (whether or not any of us likes him) and has shot well of late. But that contract, with the 15% trade kicker and a player option for year 3, reduces his value as a trade piece-- which is why he wanted these things in the first place, don't want to get traded to a random team. And these features are in effect now.

    Brandon Wright is involved in these Mavs/Celts talks for Rondo. If he's their main asset, I wonder what Boston would take from us?

    Dallas would need to deal Wright to match salary for Rondo. I'm not sure that makes them better even despite the wasteland they have at the PG position currently.

    No to Rondo especially if the Celtics want Dmo.

    Can anyone actually imagine the final 6 minutes of a close game with Rondo AND Howard on the court? My goodness, hack a RonHoward galore!

    dallas has their 1st & 2nd round draft picks + Memphis 2nd rounder.

    if morey really wants rondo... he can easily outbid the mavs.

    IMO dallas isn't a legit threat regarding assets.

    If we don't get rondo maybe I'll settle for a combination of wright\green or maybe green/brewer or brewer/wright. I'm on overload right now.

    Even if Dallas got Rondo, who in here thinks they would be better than us?

    I don't think it makes them significantly better at all.

    I don't believe Parsons can be traded in the first year of his contract without his approval. Also, he has a trade kicker.
