Respect your opinion but absolutely don't agree with that at all. How does Howard need the ball to create alley-oop passes and Harden cutting to the basket and being put into great positions to score need the ball? How do you figure. I want Harden with the ball in his hands the last 5 minutes of games fresh and his teammates getting easy buckets off pass's in the half court and fast breaks. If Harden keeps up this pace in the regular season again then there will be a good chance of seeing him put up a terrible performance like he did against Portland in the playoffs.

"a person familiar with Rondo's thinking" said he thought Rondo would be open to signing with Dallas or Houston.

That's some serious journalism right there.

so the rockets don't have elite shooters but they take the most 3's in the league. that doesn't sound like a good game plan. again rondo needs to be guarded, whether you believe it or not.

Well yeah, Rondo needs to be guarded, but he doesn't need to be guarded closely so long as he is more than 5 or 6 feet from the rim because he's not within his range. If you get Rondo to try and shoot the ball, you've won as a defender.

I wonder if this 3rd person point of view might just be a way around tampering?

Is Goran really the missing piece? I love the guy and I think he's a very good player, but I don't think he's good enough to use the last of the Rocket's cap space on.

The Rockets aren't winning a title without having to go through the Thunder and KD, Westbrook, & Ibaka > Harden, Dwight, & Goran

Very true!! Defenders would dare him to take the outside shot much like leaving Joey Dorsey unguarded at the 3 point line and when he is close to the basket all you have t do is foul him and put him on the line where he is even worse than Howard.

Stein's last tweets sound like Morey smokescreens to me. If they value Rondo at all...then I doubt seriously they're going to wait and HOPE that they can someday get Dragic back.

Yeah....the team was carried by 3 HOFers. When they won the championship it was Rondo's 2nd season and he was only averaging 5.1 assists a game because he wasn't dominating the ball like he does now. The Celtics never won anything with Rondo dominating the ball and being the player he is now and I don't think that's a coincidence.

Wouldn't be wise at all. No way Morey is THAT much of a gambler. This team's window isn't a peep-hole, but isn't a sliding patio door either.

So Rondo is a cancer because he holds teammates accountable and expects everyone to play like a champion? Sounds just like what this team needs. Ive also noticed James and Dwight go out of their ways to exchange pleasantries with him when they play each other.

Id rather have Dragic for the TPE if he really is available but saying Rondo would ruin chemistry and would not be an impactful player here is absurd.

my thought exactly. no idea how much longer you can reasonably expect dwight to consistently play at this level given injuries.

    (fit) Lowry > dragic rondo

(better player) Lowry > dragic rondo

Exactly. Just as there's no guarantee Rondo re-signs here if we trade for him, there's no guarantee Dragic comes here in the off-season. If you have a chance at acquiring Rondo without giving up anything that would hinder your championship run, you do it.
