Yeah, the only way Howard finds himself in Brooklyn is via a multi-team
trade . I'm warming up to Bynum over Howard, as his character and attitude are that of a turf sammich.

Not again. Please just let this die. His back is a big ??????. We should go young and play all our young guys and get a good draft pick next year.

The only way I would even consider trading for Howard would be at the trade deadline after seeing he is able to still perform at the same level after his back surgery.

I'd be happy to facilitate a trade for Howard to another team.

For Morey the perfect scenario is starting to play out. The Magic really want to get rid of Howard now. Now that they are initiating talks the Rockets can probably offer less, but still a lot. With the Nets actively trying to upgrade and really not having anything to give the Magic, it looks like the Nets are not gonna be a option anymore for Howard. That leaves Dallas as the main competition next year assuming they don't get D Will. Hopefully all the pursuing and finally getting him will make Howard think again about the Rockets. Surely the Toyota Center will be packed more and Howard will be looked at as a savior we need. He will love that, and it surely will help his ego. On top of that, rich people and athletes seem to love Houston. If Morey can pull of Howard and E Gordon, you have to imagine that will be a better combo for Howard than Dallas can offer. Dirk is great, but he is getting up there in age. So the perfect scenario is playing out, but will Howard(Back) and Gordon(numerous injuries) turn into the modern day T-Mac(Back) and Yao(Feet)?

The Rockets haven't made an official offer to Asik yet, have they?

Because that would pretty much end any possibility of trading for Dwight Diva?

This goes in the other NBA forum. We're not fuking getting Howard, and if we do, DM needs to be fired since Howard wont stay here for more than a year.

Please, stop with the Howard talk. He doesn't want us, we don't want him. Time to move on.

I don't see Howard walking away from the money only the Rockets could offer him if they end up acquiring him.

    I agree but one defacto

Howard will resign and then become disgruntled, wine, cry, complain, become insubordinate and become a distraction until he is traded.

Howard is in a bad spot. He has no leverage, no power.

    • New GM who has no ties or emotional attachments to Howard.
    • A city and franchise grown tired if Howard's indecision.
    • Brooklyn having literally no assests worthy of a Howard trade.
    • A new CBA that effects his dollars tremendously if he choose to not stay with the original team he was with prior to free agency.

All he can do is wine, cry, be insubordinate and disgruntled his way to Brooklyn which is sad and pathetic.

No loyalty. I don't expect much from players but wanting to go to one team, one city. In the entire NBA ... This dude gets paid a ton of $$$ was blessed with talent and freakish size and ability and he acts like this.

I wanted Howard in Houston last year and recently this year.

    But dude is a chump.

I wanted him because I figured at best he resigns.

If not, then sign and trade.

At worse we clear cap space and rebuild.

But now, it has become a big joke and laughing stock.

I just don't see what so exciting about Brooklyn.

If he had like 5-10 teams that would be ok... I guess.

But one. Just one. And a sorry team, with no assets.

I sure wish I knew what Howard is thinking

i agree. i'm not worried about him leaving if we trade for him. i'm worried about having a disgruntled player and the circus that would accompany that. i just don't want it.

I'd deal with a one year circus for 5 plus years of Dwight Howard on my roster. I don't see him wasting his prime years just whining. At some point he accepts the economics and works to win.

If I was the Gm of the Orlando I would not even try to get value back for Howard in the form of signed players.

If I was him i would be like " Unless you have a TPE and Multiple draft picks just hang up the phone."

With Nelson opting out now is a perfect time to clear the cap as much as possible and start over.

Once you have a Large Traded Player exception you call the shots on who want to go after because salary matching is no longer a issue.

Cleveland handled their situation the best way even if it was not by there own choice.

You get the best deal when you don't openly drool over the player. I agree, it's the Asik rumor that brings this zombie back to life.

(but you have to think Les would kill for an All Star when the game is in his building)

At this point I would take Bynum over DH. Bynum isn't coming off of back surgery and we wouldn't have to put up with the circus Howard would surely bring with all the pouting and crying to the media. I have grown sick of Dwight Howard.

Obviously you have docs look at him. Happens with every trade. There is always risk.

Orlando has all the leverage, and they are going to squeeze Howard to make him squirm. To make an example out of him.

If we were to trade for him, I prefer a trade deadline deal so we can actually see him play and know his game has not dropped off due to the back issues. I speak from experience, he could very easily have lingering issues with his back. Also, a trade deadline deal would spare us a lot of the circus and drama that are surely to come with him and his Brooklyn or bust attitude.

Eh, if his back is jacked for good we won't resign him and we will end up with a high pick anyway without him playing. Sure we lose a few young pieces now but its worth at taking a chance on him.
