I wouldn't doubt it. Everybody knows that devil worshiper sold his soul to be with Beyonce.

the rockets can save close to 6 million by not picking the team options on livingston, leuer, smith and adrien. Then another 28 million in trades involving scola, martin and lowry. that is about 34 million. The other thing that helps with asiks deal is that it is back loaded (i think he gets 15 million in year 3) so that also opens up more cap room for us.

So Bima, or anyone that knows-- If we conceivably did agree to a deal with Orlando to get Dwight, would we tell them to wait until Asik is signed to announce the deal? Or does it not matter, since we are trading salary for salary?

That back-loaded deal only applies to the Bulls. It's 8 million per year for the Rockets.

False, that's only if Chi matches. He's 8.3 per for us.

    Edit: too slow

Exactly. I'm really not too concerned with anything he says. If the trade is there, make it. I don't think there will be many teams in position to sign him to what he's going to want.

He either takes the money from us, doesn't take the money and just walks or allows for a sign & trade all parties will be happy with. Just do it.

My only thing with him is his seemingly Bi-polar tendencies. Is this guy capable of having a feeling or thought and just seeing it through? I understand he wants the Nets, so just say it from the jump and stop acting like you've had no part in this whole thing.

Probably just put bad people around him. All sorts of advice being thrown his way.

"I'll Only Re-sign with one team"

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--dwight-howard--i-ll-only-re-sign-with-one-team.html

Believe it or not, this is FANTASTIC news for the Rockets. Lakers will almost assuredly withdraw thier offer leaving us the only bidder.

BUT BUT BUT he will just walk at the end of the season. Maybe. But, we have one thing on our side here. Dwight and the Brooklyn Nets are complete and total idiots.

Brooklyn keeps signing free agents and could very well drive themselves out of the running, by overspending this offseason. They are already trying to trade for Scola and Johnson, after already signing Wallace to a deal.

Dwight may have every intention of leaving after the season, but I think he would be completely surprised when his agent informs him of how much money he will be leaving on the table.

Dwight is lying, he will not walk, and leave that money on the table. If he was so sure. He would have no opted in. Morey knows this, and thats why he is still trying to trade for him

If Dwight's people are seriously pursuing legal action to make him a free agent this summer, then maybe they aren't scared to walk away from the extra money a contract that only Orlando, or Houston for that matter, could give him. Becoming a free agent right now means that he can only resign with Orlando for the extra year and raises. They can't sign and trade him to that larger contract under the new CBA, so he'd have to walk to the Nets.

Could just be a scare tactic to provoke a trade, but if they are serious, then there is no reason for the Rockets to trade for him. He would just walk and wouldn't even feel bad. They warned us.

He said he will "explore his free agent options." "Free agent options" includes re-signing with his own team. If he has a good supporting cast and is offered more $ and years than an outside team can, it has to be a realistic option-- and who know which team will even have the cap room to sign him in 2013?

What legal action could Dwight's camp possibly take against the Magic organization? I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it.

He is the one that's holding them back. What did they do wrong? They got rid of a good coach and GM for his sake.

Man, Howard is really making himself look bad here.

Most likely, a Dwight Howard trade would need to wait until at least July 14 so that the Rockets could preserve the cap room they'd have to create to make the Asik offer sheet in the first place.

I am with you (I think), you make this trade all day everyday, especially if after this offseason, we have money for CP3 next offseason.

For all we know, Deron could suffer massive injury and Houston becomes the default team.

He's bluffing. He's not leaving that much money on the table. He just isn't. What he will do is re-sign and then pout his way off the team, but then you have leverage for a nice package of assets in return. I could care less where he goes, as long as it isn't LA.

To me, the biggest reason to trade for Dwight Diva is to C block the Lakers. Other that that, I don't care where he goes. Well that's not true, actually. I'd love to see Orlando trade his ass to the Jazz. Ha Ha, or maybe the Bucks, anywhere hideous is fine by me. If North Dakota had a NBA team, I'd want him there.

Well GS seems to be interested without any guarantee of re-signing.
