Here's the other head scratcher - Bynum is ALSO on an expiring deal. You'd have to think Orlando would insist he sign an extension, too.

What a *ussy. Man up and play ball, that's your job. Every good franchise has great players from the past.

If they can lock him up for a long term contract
    Orlando could bounce back quickly
Esp if they can force Lakers to take Hedo

    Lakers would ok
    Orlando would be ok

That's a huge IF. Unless Bynum really likes disney world, he'd leave right after the season ended.

Unless the Lakers extend him now and then trade him to Orlando later, but that assumes Dwight signs an extension with LA.

Didn't he want to go there originally to become a rapper or was that Shaq?

They absolutely would, otherwise they are going to be right back here in a year. However, why would Bynum sign an extension with Orlando?? He is set to make the max no matter where he goes, so why would he agree to help the Lakers ship him out of town? He has the player option, and I fully expect him to use it. Also, the Lakers don't make that deal unless Dwight agrees to extend as well.....and we all know he won't do that right now. He could change his mind, but we shall see.
