I wonder if Morey would have known the likes of Kawhi, AD, Jimmy Butler, and Porzingis would become available if he still would have been so quick to pull the trigger on the Chris Paul trade?

Just a little more patience and I think we would have been in a much better position as a franchise moving forward.

Knicks probably don't want to deal him to the Nets. San Antonio sure I could see. Not sure what their assets look like right now. Feel like they are similar to us in terms of not much to offer.

Would be surprised if we have a good relationship with that front office following the Melo situation last year.

29 other NBA teams expected to pursue Anthony Davis, Kristaps Porzingis and other good player(s) that come available, league sources tell @J.R..

Maori: "Be realistic. You've got a disgruntled Eurodude coming off an injury, and we're offering an umpteen-time All-Star Point GAWD. You'd be crazy to walk away from this."

Tonio and Toronto are the most Euro teams I can think of. And Dallas of the past.

If the Spurs get him, Pop will stick around a while and end up the winningest coach in NBA history.

“Gregg Popovich is looking for star players to replace Duncan, Parker and Leonard. Don’t be shocked if Spurs are open to adding Porzingas or Davis.”

You are punting on this year if you make this trade. Porzingis is likely OUT the entire year, or at least possible that he is. Just keep that in mind is all I'm saying.

Spurs asset base is pretty poor compared to some other KP suitors. That's a big hurdle for them.

Probably worse situation than us cause they have Derrick White and Lonny Walker on rookie scale deals, their 1st rounders, Raptors 2019 1st rounder...i don't think we can consider Gay expiring an asset in this scenario, even though you never know i guess.

Huge hurdle for sure, but they may be willing to expose themselves (future assets) more than they would for almost all other players.

Denver is another team that would pay a high price for a potential top 10 player.

Sucks we don't have the assets for these guys suddenly becoming available.
