As for why, who knows. This smacks of the owner & GM demanding too much out of a mediocre roster in an incredibly tough west.

Owner probably felt Malone didn't play Stauskus enough.

Malone was a decent coach. Definitely did not deserve to get fired.

Haha, probably had a lot to do with losing to the Pistons and some other bad teams. Although they do not have Cousins. They are a one star team in a conference that demands two stars. So that's that. Seemed like he was doing a decent job.

 

This smells too much of an overzealous owner and not playing Stauskas enough to appease the owner.

This is surprisingly shocking though. Thought he was doing a decent job. Doesn't help that Demarcus was out with infection.

 

And what's Ty Corbin's history of meeting expectations on W-L record?

I wouldn't mind Malone on the Rockets' staff.

 

Malone is a solid coach, it's not his fault their only star on that weak roster is out.

This is one of those moves where you are upset with where the franchise is at and you don't want to face the reality that they just aren't THAT good to where they will be significantly over .500 this early in the season even with Boogie out 9 games.

 

Whose idea was it to have the ball in Gay's hands for the 4Q against the Rockets? Collison & Maclemore were lighting it up all game.
