For sure. But if they say they didn't want to waste time on JVG cuz they knew they wouldn't hire him, why did they even interview Kenny Smith? It's not like it won them good favor with the TNT crew. Just dumb. I hate to sound all anti Rockets org, but (knowing what we know) this is really dumb.

Haven't you heard? Harden makes all decisions and no one and nothing else is to blame at all. As a matter of fact Harden made Dwight miss all his free throws and Brewer miss all those wide opens shots. Horrible guy that Harden, lol.
JVG is an all time favorite coach, so in a way I am glad he isn't coming on board to guide the **** train of misery and despair that is the Houston Rockets. He wouldn't have succeeded with Harden, there is just no way those two could have coexisted together, and this franchise has hitched itself to him for better or for worse. As far as I'm concerned, Jeff Van Gundy just dodged a bullet.

As has already been pointed out to you, all signs were that Morey wanted JVG here but Les wasn't all that open to a reunion. You're spitting out complete nonsense about Harden and Morey when you have absolutely no clue about the dynamic of the hiring process or anything that is happening behind the scenes. Morey is the GM but Les is the owner and he isn't exactly hands off. I don't know who will ultimately pick the coach but you're baseless bashing of Morey for this news is just stupid.
I'm actually glad its not JVG. Lots of folks forgot how we played under his helm. But on the other hand I would be really upset if its DAntoni. Not because hes not what we need, but because we passed on a couple of very good coaches. I am willing to give DAntoni a chance, but have low hopes he succeeds in any way

This is good news! With the Dantoni signing looming I would've preferred JVG but I do not see the fascination with this guy.
