For the Rockets, the moves they didn't make – matching Parsons' max offer sheet, pushing harder on a Rondo deal with Boston – turned out to be as important as the moves they did make: signing Smith and trading for Corey Brewer.

We need an update to this to include Brewer and Smith, with Parsons flying away.

It's been said before... Morey should have gotten more executive of the year votes for acquiring Brewer and Smith and passing on Rondo. Allow Dallas to implode in pursuit of a pipe dream.

Exactly...and Coach McHale should have also received more COY votes for seamlessly integrating those guys into the team chemistry.
