This is like Ted Cruz and John Kasich withdrawing as candidates for the GOP Presidential nominee. JBB knows he doesn't have a chance.

I didn't see JB make adjustments. It did not take a brain scientist to realize someone else should be guarding Livingston. That Brewer and Ariza were killing us on offense. That we needed Beasley's offense. That when Smith is hot you leave him in. It is true, sometimes you can't fix what is broken no matter what you tell the players, like the D, but there were some roster moves that just seemed so simple and he didn't make them. Kepy banging our heads against the wall. That tells me he was not ready. Tough situation to be successful, but not ready yet.

John Blair was not going to make the Rockets great again.

I really don't get the love affair people on this board have with Ollie.

He probably doesn't like the roster or the org.....or both, or maybe he doesn't like how McHale was treated....but something is off for him.....good for both parties IMHO.

    Two words: Kevin.Durant.

I doubt many(myself included) know much about this guy, what he runs, what type of coach he is, so on and so forth. But they want him because Durant likes him or spoke fondly of him.

I think he was there James rookie season.

10-15 candidates??? Wow. Guess it will take a long while to hire a new coach.
At least JBB saved us some time wasting in interviewing him.

Perhaps he will join Mchale as his assistant in his new job. And hopefully they trade for Brewer too.

Rockets organization learn nothing from their mistakes.

Why they still want another interim head coach? WTF?

I worry Morey will select one Royance White type coach in 15 candidates...

15???? WOW, seriously? can't believe this...

It seems that Morey knows nothing about coach and starts to research coach from today.

This was expected, he basically had no chance for the job. I am not too excited about most of the reported candidates.

there will be 15 of them. We know JVG, Cassell, Jackson, Del Negro Vogel, Hollins, Finch
    About 1/2 lol.
Wait till we hear the other half of them. Could be some very strange names included.

as the article mentions, he wants assistant jobs that he can actually get and has no reason to waste time interviewing for this job that he knows he won't get.

Yeah...... or he read the writing on the wall, knew he wasn't going to be retained and didn't want to miss out being a lead assistant somewhere waiting on the Rockets to formally choose another head coach.

Do you try to be wrong?
