We could package the #2 pick to get out of John Wall's contract

Think of how much money we could save?! That would literally be the dream

So much doom and gloom here. Nothing is off the table. If some team wanted to overpay for #2, then of course we should consider it. I seriously doubt we’ll trade the pick, but you can’t judge the deal before one has been offered. Just like saying certain players are untouchable. Nobody is untouchable for the right price.

Only way I trade the pick is if Wall is part of the trade and that is not realistic and it has to be a star.

So if Lillard is on the block I take Dame, Giles, and Kanter last year of contract for Wall and the pick.

agreed, but I’m not sure I want this regime making that decision. I wouldn’t loan these guys the keys to my car.

my hope is that Cade and Green are so obvious that they can’t screw that up.

The Pistons will probably pick Cade, but there is a slim chance that he might drop to number 2. Houston must grab and retain him if that happens.

Just doing the due diligence of seeing what players are worth and getting information.

I’ll be shocked if Detroit doesn’t take Cade, but my goodness, take Cade if they do. There’s a lot of talent at the top of this draft. Cade, Green, Mobley, and Suggs are all players that would look great wearing our uniform, in my opinion. Like everyone else, I wish we’d gotten the first pick, but I’m pumped that we got the second.

Fertits himself said he sees the Rox being bad for 2 years. Highly doubt we move the pick.

I trust Rafael Stone whether by luck or skill he made the right moves this season.

We started the year with WB, disgruntled Harden, a bunch of old dudes and no picks next 5 years. Now we have Cwood, KPJ, Tate, Kmart Jr and 3 FRPs including the top 2 pick....all in less than a year. Anybody hating on this dude is a joke.

god some of you can be so annoying, b****ing and moaning about the speculative *possibility* of trading our pick for an established star.

it hasn't happened. some guy on ESPN said we would be "open" to it. this is a non-story. why wouldn't we be open to it and consider all of our options? if we can get Luka for our #2, that's worth at least considering, is it not?

i would prefer we didn't do a trade like that, but merely being open to it? probably a good idea to consider every possible course of action.

and yet immediately here comes the mob of morons to immediately make this about Tilman for some reason, wailing in hyperbolic reaction to something that HASN'T HAPPENED.

I'll take a healthy Mitchell over a petulant Luka.

if you're not happy that is entirely your fault for taking Woj's "water is wet" statement way too seriously

Is there any actual reason at all you think this is likely? Because it is truly an asinine hypothesis you've got here

Dickard, the bane of rational men everywhere.

Stone keeping his options open (like good GMs do) has to be related to Tilman somehow, doesn't it?
