Hilarious. This would catapult GSW above the Rockets easily and into the OKC/SAS tier of teams. They would still have all of their exceptions including a $10 million TPE to add role players to the bench. I'm guessing they'll first try to find a playmaker that can come in for and play next to Curry off the bench -- Lin, for instance. Curry/Lin Martin/Lin Iguodala/Green Love/Green Bogut/Ezeli That's a championship team.
Lee has had Love type games before? What kind of argument is that? With that logic, T.Jones has also had Aldridge games before, and never had to carry a team like Aldridge. Love - 26 PPG, 12.5 RBD, 4.4 AST - 36 MPG Lee - 18 PPG, 9.3 RBD, 2.1 AST - 33 MPG Love is obviously a much better player.

Broussard is a moron as we all know, but if this is true (most likely not), this is the most lopsided trade of all time. Hatched from the same brain which acquired Mike Miller and Randy Foye from David Kahn for the 5th pick in the stacked 2009 draft, obviously.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Warriors must be leaking that Broussard proposal. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Twolves&src=hash">#Twolves</a> aren't including 13 and only getting back Klay and Lee.</p>— Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson) <a href="https://twitter.com/DarrenWolfson/statuses/479703579708506113">June 19, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
It's nice to want things, but the Warriors were the third ranked defense last year. If they get Love, they will have gotten one of the best offensive players in the game to take pressure off Curry and push their average offense into the upper echelon of teams. Top 10 offense, top 10 defense = contender.
their defense had a lot to do with Mark Jackson playing a very specific style of basketball and probably not to the strengths of his players. curry, klay, lee, barnes -- toss in iggy and bogut -- there was no way that team shouldnt have been a top 10 offensive team last year alone but jackson didnt want to play that way. adding steve kerr will do more for how that team plays and whether or not its gonna be a top 10 team in either category than kevin love
Lee is garbage. So Klay (getting ready to be paid) and a LATE 1st for Love? They dump Martin's contract, but still, feels like Wolves could get more. If I am GSW I am all over this deal in a second.
Have to see what kind of scheme and system they install on both sides of the court. Jackson, while being awful with overall offense, had a good setup with the defense. *puts Hubie Brown voice on* Now, how do we fix this with trading Klay Thompson away? He, along with Iggy, are plus defenders. Now, Curry and Martin may be our backcourt, which means our on-ball D suffers. That said, Steph gets high steals, and Martin gets a few, as well. They could be solid help defenders. The issue for us, is that this league is more isolation, which could lead to more issues. We would have the draft to fix some needs (basically, a 2/3 would be #1, #2 and maybe even #3). *end Hubie voice*
But that's the problem with GSW. They don't have anything else. No picks in 2014. A pick in the mid-20s in 2015 (they can't deal any of their 2016,2017, or 2018 picks). A regressing Barnes. That's it.
GSW's main assets are Thompson, Green, and Barnes. If I am the Wolves and I have to trade Love to GSW, I am getting Thompson and either Green or Barnes. I actually like Green a fair amount from a defensive perspective. If the Wolves could dump Martin+Budinger in the deal, get Thompson +(Barnes or Green) plus GSW's 2015 1st round pick (trade completed after GSW makes the pick due to the rules), then the Wolves might have something there.

When a player is proven like klay and on a cheap contract, don't let him get in the way of getting a star. This is similar to the parsons + Lin or asik trade of it happens & other possibles trades that could've happened last summer & at deadline.
It has always made sense to me because the Wolves do not just want draft picks, they want players and they would love to get rid of some of that garbage Adelman insisted on the team.
I really hope we can throw a wrench on this. I don't see how Parsons + Asik + Lin + Jones+ our pick + whatever they want isn't better than what they can get from GSW. I also don't see how Boston's package or Chicago's package isn't better. Flip is really going to screw us if he sends Love to GSW. That would be the ultimate middle finger to McHale (a guy who has bad blood with Flip allegedly). McHale is hurting us in the quest for Love more than we could have imagined.
