1000x this. We're going to be building around our young core starting next season. Ok, yall look at the FA list for next year? Unless we draft Scoot, there is no better add than Harden to this team. It's not that we would be bringing him in to make the team about him, we are doing it to build around our young guys. Green gets a running mate that will undoubtedly get him easier looks, so does Bari. This is not me saying that Scoot would be better than James btw, just that if you draft him then obviously you don't want to have him on the bench watching James. After that, who knows. Because I could see us then trading our top 10 pick along with another one of our young assets to get another good veteran once we are sure we are getting Harden. Think about it as adding a piece to the team. Sure, you worry about personalities and off the court chemistry but that is literally true of any and every team. So, unless it is something you know about (like if Green told the FO he didn't want to play with Harden) you shouldn't be worried about it.
I like him a lot, but he is too young, and Silas won't play him. They need a veteran like Trevor Ariza but with a better offense.
dude they got smashed by max strauss, a bunch of SRPs & undraftees lololol WAKE UP! if losing to 39 years old derek fisher, johnatton simmons and an athletic freak that cant even shoot was not enough of a wakeup call lolololololol
Gotta let him develop. Silas is the problem, Tari should be starting sink or swim, he won't develop with mental reps sitting on the bench
He left to chase a ring, was a hamstring away from it, and now he's punting? What a ****ing idiot this dude is. And if its' about the money then he would've signed the max with Brooklyn because they did offer it
I think that's probably the angle. He has all the money he'd ever need. I also think he misses Houston. I could see him taking minimal money to finish his career here. And I'd definitely be open to it. Crazy how much people don't appreciate what we did here and in general.
Harden so far today 29 pts (7-16 FG, 5-11 3PT), 12 asts, 3 rebs, 4 stls, 1 blk, 0 to Posters acting all precious about this trash team. What are exactly yall trying to preserve? We'll be lucky if we aren't the worst team in the league again. and we don't have our pick...it would be a disaster to hand over a top 3 pick to OKC, our biggest rebuilding rival.
This Houston sentiments is overplayed because nobody is forcing him to stay in the East. Many players live in Houston in the offseason, it's a thing. Also he can retire early and come and live in Houston. The playing with rookies and sophomores is more of an angle. He can help for sure but it's only a Plan C or Plan Z in my books, not something I recommend.
Dont want him…. But in playing pretend. Harden takes 3 years 70 million. Myles Turner takes 4 years 116 million. KPJ would have to be moved. We would then have to fortify the lineup defensively around Harden and Green. In this scenario we end up picking up Gordons option. Sengun+Christopher+Gordon+KPJ+2024 and 2026 Nets picks for Siakam and Anuoby. Turner/Bruno Smith/Garuba Siakam/Eason Green/Anuoby Harden/Scoot Henderson
13 assists and just 1 turnover today 34 assists and 4 turnovers in his last 2 KPJ would give us 5 turnovers and 6 assists
Hope you folks watched him put the Sixers on his back in the second half. 29 points 13 assists 5 boards 4 steals on 7-16 shooting 5-11 3pt line.
I mean in theory, if Harding came back at a reasonable discount, we would have the draft picks, young players, and Space to outfit an entire team around him.
No way Jim Harden wants to play for Sil@ss….. But if bringing him in gets rid of Sil@ss i may entertain the idea.
