I would love it. I really don't get Rocket's fans who have hate towards Harden. The dude balled his heart out here. Yeah, him leaving was messy but I think he knew what he had to do that to get traded (I mean look at EG.. he still hasn't been traded).
I mean...we do need someone that knows how to pass better. Maybe teach Jalen a thing or two. I say do it if it gets rid of Eric and Kpj but of he's coming to just be a problem then...
This Alves guy is an unrealistic dude, to drag us into the Top 6 or Top 8 he'd have to play like a 26 year old. He'd be gassed before the Playoffs this time and it's a wasted effort.
I'll take a fat, old Harden over KPJ. Harden can comeback but they shouldn't overpay him. They should also bring a Small Forward because that is also what the Rockets need.
It all depends on money and short term contract, sure, why not. (it would be a reluctant yes and no for me) If he comes back for tutoring without the pressure of making the Playoffs, the Rockets and Harden have to agree to that. The short term contract would allow the Rockets to control the situation in case he pouts or goes to the strip club too often.
YESSSSSSS I said this when he left, him returning in a few years after we have collected all this young talent, to play PG for them, would be a great scenario. I still think it’s a fantastic idea. This team still doesn’t have a traditional PG or playmaker (at the wing at least). His role would be a lot different, and perfectly fit with the place he currently is in his career. He’d be a great distributor for the rest of these guys and could set them up to succeed
I see that vision., but they’re gonna add a more defensive minded big to roll with him. Also, if we draft Wemby, that PnR would be even more deadly
I assume he got one or two houses in Houston which he can go back to in the offseason. No need to do any of that.
A. I think this is most likely leverage talk very early on. He took less money this season to sign his friends up at Philly, and probably expects a 5 year supermax when he declines his player option in the summer. B. If we got Wemby, it would be incredible to get Harden back! Imagine Harden running p'n'r with Wemby, or releasing Jalen with his elite outlet passes, or finding Smith for the open 3. Like him or not, he is one of the best passers in the NBA and in the top tier for court vision. The main drawback to getting him would be that it stunts KPjrs development as a PG. But....
