Box Scores never tell the entire story.... There is more to sports and to the game than box scores, it never shows the true impact of what players are doing that affect the game... T_Man
What's your point? Not that I disagree but what are you trying to say? That you've watched the clippers and you don't think Harden has been incredible so far?
My point is that too much is put into stats and i've said this time and time again.. Stats never tell the entire story. Stats are only 1 aspect or chapter of the book and unfortunately that's where most individuals stop. T_Man
Right but are you bringing that up to say that you disagree with his point? You're suggesting there's more to the story here. Do you think the stats are misleading us here and that Harden hasn't been good? Or are you just protesting his use of stats to reach a conclusion that you actually agree with?
I'm actually very much rooting for Kawhi to get healthy and for the Clips to at least make it to the WCF. Reasons: -The Mavs suck. F them. -If the Clips lose in the first round and it looks like Kawhi is a losing bet to partner with, Paul George might be heading elsewhere like Philly -If PG bolts, Harden might be looking to bolt as well -If Harden is looking elsewhere.... again.... it won't be long before the Harden/Houston love affair gets steamy again. -I don't want Harden back in Houston unless it's like a reunion tour thing.
Actually, I'd love to see Harden as a Rocket again. I honestly hope he signs a 1-day contract here a few years down the road so he can announce his retirement as a Rocket.
2 years and no player option would be my recommendation if he really has to return due to his mother...... Better with a heavy discount. No honey bun treats for him and no special treatment. Get his ass down to film sessions on time on road games. Fred might be the lesser player but I do think he proved himself as a good leader this year although he had to chuck heavily in games.
Wow didn't know I was back in college... Simply put... Stats don't tell the entire story... Some look at stats and say this guy is averaging 30 points a game, so he must be a superstar... But did you look at how many shots he took to get that. Then you look at another person and say he's only averaging 6 points a game and you say he sucks.. Did you see his hustle plays.. his defense.. his rebounds... So again saying Stats don't tell the entire story. T_Man
Not only shot attempts, but support cast plays major role in that as well Someone who is avg 6ppg are usually scrappy defender types, which is why the scorers end up shooting high volume with those type of 6ppg players Its hard to be uber efficient with non-scorers surrounding you Stats only tell a part as you mention Its why it is best to watch the games as the stats are being accumulated .....plus you can see things happening in real time that they don't tally in stats Some watch it from a strictly fanatic view, some watch it from a actual player aspect and some watch it from a haterade lens etc It has many layers, but its basic at the end of the day
Yeah man I get all that, that part is all clear. But you didn't just post "stats don't tell the whole story" randomly for no reason directed at nobody. You posted it at another poster, you quoted him and you posted it in response to his post. That mean you think the stats don't tell the whole story in his post, right? Am I crazy here? When you quote him and say that it means that you think he's missing something. I'm just curious and trying to figure out what you think he's missing, and why you think that applies here.
Welp... maybe James can go on Americas got talent and show them the famous Magical dissappearing act?
