Imagine being so desperate to resign Harden when everyone outside the organization are just shaking their heads that we are actually considering bring Harden back.

As stated before what a stupid decision to bring this guy back for anything more than a 1+1 at best. If having Jalen Green turn into a "Maxey" is a highlight idk what to tell you. Reports already said he wants to go back to the old way. So I guess we will have guys stand in the corner and watch the iso play smh. The Rockets deserve better.

There will be some low effort times. Same as every other star.

I don’t dont know if any player outside of wemby will start this year. Who knows? I don’t think any player we draft will start.

Id like to get Harden for 2+1 at 35 million a year. He will be a value contract even if it is a trade asset in winter of 2025.

Harden wont cut often but the folks suggesting he doesn’t set screens are wrong. I think he makes every player more efficient and there are plenty of shots to go around.

We will need to get a Nic Claxton to provide a defensive/rim runner type of big even if they just come off the bench.

I really like Jarace Walker with Harden. I think they would work well together. Id love to get Thompson to learn behind Harden and trade up from 20 to snag Walker.

    Smith/Sengun
    Walker/Eason
    Porter/KMJ
    Green/Josh Hart
    Harden/Thompson

Define however you want - if you want to tell me that he's merely the second best or third best or whatever, it's not exactly a convincing demerit.

Harden's passing was less jaw dropping this year even though he led the league in assists. Maybe it was Doc's system asking him to just make the safe plays and the Sixers being unathletic/no lob threats though.

It's better than what the team has now.

Which is a low bar to overcome.... why folks want our young core to get mentored by "basketball freedom" is beyond me. Just nostalgia I suppose.

The key here is to convince harden to take something along the lines of 30 to 33 million so stone can get some auxiliary pieces.

No worries, I'm not sure Harden needs my help demeriting his NBA legacy. :(

I fear bringing in Harden is just waiting until he forces Udoka out and we will sacrifice long term building for 2 years of stepback tour

Because he was never good at running the team just all-time 1-on-1 player who could pass out of the rotation help. Didnt do game-management, making sure to build up players, get everyone involved, read defense and call correct plays… not even starting with commanding the defense. He never was great point guard. He was great playmaker

Because they are role players at this point in their careers. Harden started as a role player too. It's ok to be a role player and learn how to win, besides the Rockets aren't winning a title in the next 4 years, but maybe afterwards if the young guys can grow from being a role player to a star.

No, the key here is to have nothing to do with a glorified loser who will do nothing but score a whole bunch of points and commit a whole bunch of turnovers. Meanwhile the team loses by 20+ points.

Expendable? You mean to tell me you don’t wanna see Sengun the corner 3 point specialist?
