Some of yall are getting fooled into thinking Harden is going to come here and mentor our young guys. Dude wants to get paid, trade some of our best prospects for 30+ yr olds, play iso/pick and roll exclusively and not have any blame while leaving us when it gets hard again. But hey... at least we'll make the playoffs for a year or two before declining into lotto mediocrity again while watching the pieces we trade away improve. If you don't believe in our young prospects then that's a positive for you I'm sure. Would rather overpay to get Scoot. Want to build something cumulative not temp
faint? not really. i nearly did when the rockets were announced with the trash 4th pick though don't see what you're gloating about. you're celebrating him opting out? the thing that makes him one step closer to returning LMAO
If all this is true. I’m out on Harden. 4 years is too long a contract and it sure sounds like he wants to get back to his roster construction ways. Time to look for lesser options like Conley who I’m sure can be had for an overpay, but not exorbitant price in assets. Carusso or Rubio would not hurt my feelings either. BPA at 4 in the draft or trade for a substantial vet add.
Ya it's time to target Conley. This team so desperately needs a vet pg it ain't funny anymore. The front office definitely should be willing to overpay Conley as he naturally probably doesn't want to come here unless he gets overpaid.
And welcome to the worst spaced offense in NBA history. We would have to pray that Jalen and Jabari become the consistent shooters they are capable of but man we already are a poorly spaced team.
Yeah Houston doesn't look like a fit then. Has to be a give and take, gotta fit a role for the team as you age, he's not a long term max guy anymore. Oh well, we can draft and shop other free agents in this and other coming seasons,
Bad spacing because Silas refused to run the offense through Sengun, dish the ball inside every time and let Sengun create open shots for our "poor" shooters and watch them raise their shooting percentage drastically..
He won’t be negotiating money. He will have to be traded for, so the cost is draft or player capital. He plays for Minnesota which doesn’t seem like a much better situation, and, certainly not as good a city as Houston. Only problem is Minnesota will need a pg in return. Tyty and the 20th pick, extend Conley for 2-3 years and draft Amen or just straight up KPJ for Conley, draft Amen (if Scoot is not there), move TyTy up in the pecking order.
Not happening. I think getting the #1 would've swayed him our way but if he really wants a competitive roster then we can't help him unfortunately.
