    Exactly!

But Stone needs to use those FRP for another major roster upgrade, at least.

One way to salvage all this is to put a A+ quality product on the court.

Harden's one true weakness, he loves to hoop.

For people salivating over Ben Simmons consider that he is possibly the worst mid range shooter in the league.

Simmons shoots 15% on 10-15 footers. He shot 0% last year on 16-20 footers last year... for his career he is an 8% three point shooter..... think about those numbers... he is also 59% from the line.

Think about how you build an offense with that liability...

Bron is just staying in the paint while Simmons is behind the 3 point line, but hey, Simmons is for sure a foundational piece that u build around o_O

This is like those times people who hate Harden post those videos of defenders guarding Harden with their hands behind their back or defending Harden by getting behind him and letting him freely operate in the mid range area.

Exactly what I've been saying. Give me Michael Porter Jr or flip Simmons for more picks.

    Totally not the same.
This is more like the videos of Harden not playing defense.
Simmons is just not a threat offensively

Sorry, but welcome to the boards -- I for one am so glad we have a poster (or former poster or current other poster) named FatSeagal with the avatar to match.

teams guarded Harden from behind because they were that scared of his stepback three...if anyone guarded Harden with their hands behind their back, it was because they were scared of committing yet another foul

those gimmicks are because of a fear and respect for Harden’s dominance

teams will sit in the paint and not even try to guard Simmons out on the perimeter because of a lack of respect for his shooting

but hey, let’s compare the 2

some of y’all try too hard to be dumb

It's not only because his stepback is deadly.

They wouldn't do that if he scored from the mid range routinely. Him being a zero threat in the middle makes defenders feel more safe doing that tactic.
so similar to Simmons, it's Harden refusing to take a shot from an area of the court that allows defenses to hedge their bets.

I mean I can also say that Simmons is a deadly finisher around the paint.

The real difference here is Harden refuses on purpose even if he has the talent to shoot effectively from the mid range while for Simmons it's a lack of shooting ability.

Dont send him to Philly and dont work with Murray..that should be a rule now for the Rockets org

Lets work with Miami, try to get Herro, Robinson and Nunn..add picks and others to make it work and we are good.

You’re just gonna have to be wrong and arrogantly wrong again

Nwaba is anything but irrelevant. Nwaba’s an above average player.

He’s an explosive athlete who is probably at worst the third best raw finisher on the team. His free throw rate and finishing is so high level, even in those years his 3P shot was underdeveloped, he still had a good TS%.
He’s clearly not a typical role player.

Great finisher, good rebounder, man defender, some rim protecting ability, and increased 3P shooting ability every year.

He’s foul prone but that’s actually because he’s so aggressive.

For once the Rockets built this team the smart way and got some diamonds in the rough between Wood and Nwaba. Guys with absolutely clear high level playing ability and just overlooked to this point.

And established very talented stars Wall and Cousins who are about to get their best last shot and getting their careers back. Considering Westbrook is terrible in any postseason environment this a great turnout with extremely high upside.

The actual, real life, completely possible best case scenario for this team is an athletic version of the 2018 team, worse in the RS, just as good in the playoffs.

That’s not even assuming Cousins has a Renaissance(possible but unlikely).

It’s assuming Wall’s finally got his body right, after all this successful rehab and Nwaba and Wood pick up where they left off. This is a much better team than last year at the least. They remind me of Miami last year really. Depth, athleticism, shooting and the ability to matchup with anybody. This team will be hell in a playoff series if they stay healthy.

This is why Herro, Duncan and Precious and the two cap fillers and FRPs is the best case scenario. You won't those 2023 2025 2027 1st rounders that is when Harden Jets from Miami and Jimmy as well. They would be a bottom team with high picks.

You would still need to move Tucker, E. GORDON, Olynk and Iggy. But you can find more players with all those 1st rounders your getting. Js. You can have a superior elite def and scoring team

This Wizards scout who saw Wall’s entire career says Wall looks better than ever.

And I tend to believe him. If we get even 2017 Wall, this is gonna be a hell of a team.

Compare this to HurtBrook coming off a surgery on his hands and knees and needing load management.

    1. Saw his first step going both directions was still there in workout vids

    2. But he still has his brakes to stop and a dime and concentrate on the finish. This is actually where Westbrook struggled greatly all year because we all saw how he could blow by anyone but was out of control in the air and on finishes. Wall still has complete control of his body.

    3. Foot speed. Tremendous foot speed with all the quick choppy movements you need to break down a D and stay in front of your man. He’s an athlete athlete without a doubt.

Wall is ****ing back. No way you trade Harden yet man. No way.

100% agreed. Morley said he wanted time off to spend with family and already had a deal with Philly behind our backs. We could have traded him for a pick or something similar but he was dishonest and it hurt the Rox. That said, he may have had good reasons to do what he did but bottom line if you hurt the Rox then you're dead to me.

Anthony Davis being young and elite fetched very little after New Orleans held out a year rather than trading him right away .
