Good indicator.

Italian star Gentile tells @WojVerticalNBA that he's ready to join Mike D'Antoni and the Houston Rockets. “My goal is to play in the NBA next year,” Gentile told The Vertical. “I really hope this can happen. For me, Mike D’Antoni is like a legend in Italian basketball, an example for everyone. For him to coach me would be very, very nice.” “My dream is that I want to play in Houston with Mike D’Antoni,” Gentile told The Vertical. “If that’s not possible, my goal is to still play in the NBA next year.” Yep. So just as suspected, we got the Italian Connection going on here with Gentile and D'Antoni...
I knew it. I knew it. I said, "Maybe we want to lure over some of these Euro-stash players of ours," when we were all trying to figure out why, why, why D'Antoni.
He doesn't shoot the three all that well, can penetrate, and can pass the ball. Is he any better than Brewer than? Lol... If Morey thinks he is then Brewer might be on his way out.
He's been pretty good in Euroleague. Needs major work on his shot. But he can't be worse than Brewer.
Are there any (legit) Gentile experts who can tell us what his game is all about? What are his strengths and weaknesses?
anything above a 0-20 something stretch or whatever the heck it was will be a positive. we're not really reaching for the stars here.
Gentlemen. Hold on to your butts. THIS is why we got Mike D'Antoni. To bring in a bunch of Papanikolaou's.
Yep. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear something about Llull next days/weeks too. D'Antoni is well known and respected in Europe, in Italy especially. I still didn't expect Gentile to be so set to make the jump this year but welp, good for us, hope he's ok with the mini mle.
This guy is tough as heck. He can shoot a little but he's young (23) and can improve on that. He's very physical for a euro and confident and has an I'm-the-best-guy-on-the-floor mentality without overexerting himself or forcing the issue. He would be fantastic off our bench.
