A new coach isn't going to make any difference if that's the only change we make. At best, we'll get worse.

Frank would be a great coach for the team. His record isn't the best but he did coach one of the worst NBA teams in the last decade. Even Johnson is having a hard time with the Nets and he has Deron Williams now. I think Frank will be one of the best coaches in the league few years from now.

To paraphrase Carmelo, Frank is a try hard coach and would fit well with this try hard team.

    I'm OK with Lawrence Frank.

Definitely do not want a limited coach like Mike Brown. His flaws in Cleveland were too apparent.

Don't understand why Kelvin Sampson is supposedly so respected around the NBA. I have despised the guy ever since he nuked IU's basketball program.

Someone please explain to me the problem with this Sampson person. I know absolutely nothing about college basketball.

ummm...that's not what you said. There is no need for you to reinvent history. You're too smart for that, and one of the best out-of-the-box thinkers on the bbs. ImaBigFan of BimaThug.

but dude, you did not say that multiple candidates was Morey's way of "gather information about their team and their roster" and "to gather interest" concerning the job opening. Free consulting. You postulated that is was to build relationships with a plan to make it easier to make trades later...with coaches. btw, you never explained how Morey is supposed to make trades with coaches.

Frank Vogel anyone??? If yall watched the indiana chicago series, Frank Vogel was a bada-ss this year. His motto is rebounds, toughness, ball control and fundamentals. I really liked him and they nearly won 2 or 3 of those games v chi town

Sampson gave a nice speech at my highschool. I like the guy, but... I am not certain I want him as the head coach.

That being said, if he wins. #bandwagon

Men you're really on his jock... when I first read the report I immediately thought about what Bima said (though I found it a tad ludicrous at the time), but kudos to him for having ideas in the same vein, he has been way more accurate than Nostradamus.

No Mike Brown please. I'm ok with the rest. Hiring Sampson fits nicely under the description of a Morey move.

Mike Brown really wouldn't be an upgrade over RA, didn't he let his assistant coaches draw the plays?

I don't know enough about the Sampson guy to make any judgements, Frank seems to be an alright coach.

And what did he say at the time? The same as what Woj said?

If I were Bima, I would have said, Woj's idea is probably more accurate than mine, but I was close.
He was close. Morey is likely gathering info. Bima was correct in that regard -- out of the box thinker. One of the best on the bbs.
