Why would the Cavs give up Tristan, their only legit inside presence? Again, Melo + Love + LeBron is just not a good fit. How would that rotation even work?

 

So you wouldn't take Melo over Love? Love hasn't shown up in big games he's been made into a spot up 3pt shooter and throwing full court passes which I don't think sits well with him. Melo would fit better with the Cavs imo but if we're able to get him I'm all for it especially now that we lost out on Millsap.

It would work just fine. Not everyone has to be a starter you can stagger.

 

They don't have to give up Love if Melo is bought out and he gets to choose where he wants to go.

My hope is Melo gets bought out and he chooses us. Then trade Anderson and Gordon or Ariza for Love.

Yeah, but the rotation simply doesn't make sense. Love, Melo, LeBron are all big forwards, so somebody has to go to the bench. I don't think either one of them would be willing to do that. These are all All-star caliber players we're talking about with big egos.

 

If the Cavs put Love in the package we're screwed but, is Lebron even staying in Cleveland after this season? If Lebron plans to bolt (which is what everybody expects at this point) he should probably tell Melo to go to the Rockets and wait for him next season lol

Btw, is Billups already their gm? Cause wasn't he saying on tv that the Cavs should trade Love for Melo?

And I thought the Bucks GM search was an embarassment. Compared to that it's nothing. Imagine just before the draft the Rockets fire Morey, and they want to hire Tmac. But Tmac instead in the middle of free agency prefers to go play in an exhibition game while he thinks about it.

 

Love is a better shooter, rebounder, and defender(actually true) than Melo is. I would actually prefer to have Love over Melo on our team, but from the Cavs standpoint they don't have much incentive to replace Love with Melo. It's a downgrade.

I don't see where's the issue here. Why did CP3 come to play with Harden since everyone was calling Harden a pointguard last season and they are both ball dominant?
Too much talent isn't the problem.

 

Love is not going to be a bench player, especially to a player like Melo who is arguably inferior? If that happens, 100% chance that he leaves.

No way he's better than Love. Better than Anderson? OK, but I'm not convinced he's that good at all. Not efficient, doesn't rebound or pass well, bad defense

 

As I said, the Cavs have zero incentive to replace Love with Melo. It's a downgrade.
