Melo goes out with the announcement of Jeff B return Jeff B coming back Melo gone Morey, everyone wants Full Transparency.
Purely because of his ego. It could have worked if he tried. He didn’t try and that’s what pisses me off. You quit after an 0-11 night? He is weak af. Can’t wait to see how bad things get for him with less support.
A couple of players on espn had said he should retired before he does more damage to his image even coach nick said so. I was thinking the same if he didn’t work out here where else could he work. If he does to gsw he would get barked by green all day and Carmelo shuts whenever people get in his face. Then once boogie plays it would be an internal disaster. You already have green going after Durant. So if Melo doesn’t retired I hope he goes to the warriors (or LAL)
This is like the scene in breaking bad where Jesse and fring’s guys have beef. Mda and bz are Walter and Jesse. Fring is morey. Melo is the gangster duo. Honestly this was the most likely outcome. There’s even still a .001% chance he comes back to the team, accepts the 3s/layups philosophy, becomes teamusahoodiemelowow and this team takes off towards a wcf rematch. But in all likelyhood...he wasn’t going to be a team player, he wasn’t going to be an all star or 6th man candidate, things we’re going to sour and morey is all too quick to shuffle the deck. So shuffle, dealer.
I wonder if those Blazers kids want Melo now?!?!?!? The teams that would want him are borderline playoff teams like Hornets, or 76ers. I doubt Melo want anything in the West, he is going to East to avoid his banana boat friends.
Go to China or retire? It's not our problem. I don't feel any more responsibility to him than Markel Brown, Briante Weber, Joe Johnson, Brandan Wright or whoever else we let go recently that no one else wants. Everyone was bashing him when he was on OKC, laughing that they were stuck with him. "They should tell him he's coming off the bench so he opts out!". Atlanta traded for him just to unload salary and waived him. Suddenly, it's our responsibility to keep him relevant for some reason. I didn't see this many crocodile tears shed for Deron Williams in Cleveland. What a joke.
Yea but their were reports MDA didn't want to play him. If that's the case, he shouldn't have wanted 2 played the whole team. Any player coming to a new team, in a new system should be expected to struggle in the first 10 games. I actually thought we needed him for post play when the game slowed down
Bad move. The Rockets look like the bad guys here. You hold a press conference saying it's "unfair" criticism on him then cut the guy. Melo also has relationships with other superstars that definitely ain't coming to Houston after this
Carmelo should thank the Rockets for giving him this opportunity first, and that they did say he was good here doing him a solid. And well, we will survive without Lebron and washed Wade...assuming they really don't understand the situation or trust Paul over Melo, which is something i have a hard time believing.
Harden and Paul don't want to waive him because they are responsible for recruiting him. He is not retired. He is like a "ghost" who will be with the team the whole season if no team wants him, he will never never disappear.
I don't think he should go to GSW, he should obviously go to some non-contender so that he can get his shots. I don't think less of him as a player, no one should, everyone waxes poetic about how Iverson had this warrior spirit and would never settle for ring chasing on some bench. Now that Melo wants to do the same people go at him. He should retire or go play for a bad team thats willing to give him the shots. Every contender is going to tell him to play a smaller role...not even sure how many bad teams are out there that would be willing to risk young players development on giving him the ball too. Someone on ESPN mentioned the Hornets, I guess that makes some sense. They aren't going anywhere anyways and have been on the mediocre treadmill for like a good 5 seasons or so now as Kemba is good enough to keep them competitive but not good enough to get them past that. Maybe he can go to the Lakers/Heat to play with his other buddies but those teams have young wings that they are looking to develop so... Yeah, I don't like people spitting on the man's legacy. He seems like a nice enough dude, have no issues with the law, etc etc and is just an aging player.
i just dont understand melo. i can completely understand not wanting to be 3rd string behind a 2nd string journeyman and a rookie, but i dont see how he believes he can have any other role than catch and shoot for someone? especially for a contender that has lot of players better than himself. no one is going to let him faceup ISO and put up a bunch of shots to try to get in a rhythm. i really wish he could accept because i still think the rockets could use him. that bench is looking thin as hell.
