When CC sits, we usually shift over to small ball and move Tucker to the 5. TC will most likely end up playing 5-10 minutes a game.

I do like the idea of doubling down on old vets to fill in behind Capela. Nene or even Noah could be good insurance for Tyson Chandler. Would be a good agreement between the vets of never playing too many minutes (hopefully). Maybe they could alternate games of being the backup big to CC so they only play in 40-50 games during the regular season but then all in for the playoffs. Whoever is the best fit against a certain team gets the majority of backup minutes.

I think Noah would be such a great get at this point. See article below where he is considering a couple of options with NBA and NBL in Australia. Have to think he will choose the NBA over NBL but who knows. Hopefully the Rockets are one of the teams looking to add him but he may see TC more as competition rather than a complementary backup piece. Noah is still such a good passer and just a good all around players.

    From the article:
He averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 42 contests last year, which is a massive improvement from his 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game averages the previous season.

He hasn't announced his retirement. He did us a favor by opting out. If he was going to retire, opting in was the move. No other way to recoup his earnings there. He's liked nearly everything on social media regarding the Rockets and has been pretty active. You would have to ask @Codman Nene's intentions but I assume he's waiting to be told if he's being paid as staff or as a player because you don't just give up money to be nice after previously giving up money.

Harty + a FRP would be so ideal assuming we get a 3rd string C vet along the way. I am still looking at what we can do to build on this Westbrook trade that when it is all said in done we will have to evaluate the trade once all the dust settles. As it stands we have a chance to add a solid rotation piece (either RoCo or Iggy) with minimal extra assets or even getting assets in return according to ch44. My mind would be blown if we can add another solid rotation piece using minimal assets. Do work Morey!

It's obviously none of my business now that CP is off the book. But I expect Mr. I-have-talked-to-XXX Kyler to have talked to the wrong GMs.

I assume we’re still doing the same kind of setup where Westbrook and harden will only play together half the time. You do a best 5, a Harden 5 and a Westbrook 5. Harden’s strength is ISO, PnR so you will need willing defenders and Capela. Westbrook’s strength is pushing the pace and attacking the rim so surround him with the shooters to dish out 11 assists a game.

    Best 5
    Westbrook, Gordon, Harden, Tucker, Capela
    Harden 5
    Harden, Rivers, House, Tucker, Capela
    Westbrook 5
    Westbrook, Gordon, Green, Clark/Bennet/House, Chandler

I bet Rosas is wanting us to take on Dieng's salary to get to Covington and that's the hold up. @justtxyank 's thread about Tilman's financial trouble (lol) and his concern about going into luxury tax territory sounds about right.

Dieng + Covington next year is about $28 million
    Iggy is about $17 million

Maybe Rosas is saying you can have Covington for a 2nd rounder provided you take Dieng on?

There is no situation where Covington is worth taking on that contract. A first rounder plus some youngsters or move on.

$28 M is only worth it for a real star like OPJ.
