This is true though, nobody cares about "insider" opinion. People only follow for the "facts" and could give two fuqs about what their opinion is on whats going on. And it could get confusing as people might interpret their opinions as "fact".

They hug like that before and after every game and every practice. It's a whole routine that James had put in his contract and Wade had to agree to. They don't have pictures of the next step because Wade's head wouldn't have been in the picture... Just LeBron with a smile on his face.

    Lol. Well. My bad.

Never would I thought that Royce White (of all people) would be mentioned in this thread.

Game 7 was on June 15th. Since then he had more than enough time to make his decision. He had the time to speak to the relevant persons (Wade, Riley, Bosh, Melo,...) and teams (Heat, Cavs,...), and of course to his family. So nothing's gonna change anymore. If your are the (self-proclaimed) King, just man up and make a decision. By dragging this out he is disrespectful to a lot of people he claims he is loyal to (Riley, Wade, Bosh, Clevelanders).

Umm no. He could not begin speaking to other teams until July 1. Although it is frustrating as a fan of another team, it has only been 11 days. He has not made or broken any promises. IMO, like Parsons was able to, Bosh, Melo and whoever else out there should be making their own decisions that are best for them.

Overall . .. it is on HIM more than any GM to be a part of a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM
he has to be involved in the planning and execution of these types of things
which is why he is taking his time
I think he is leveraging his position

If he never wins another championship . . . . his 'legacy' will take severe hits
not matter if it is his fault or not

Actually, people don't act like they even know what a fact is any more. Sheridan is right, but that time has passed. People would rather be first than right these days.... and it isn't limited to sports.

That's what the talking heads will say Minnesota's position is, but anyone with half a brain knows that isn't true. Boston is the only team that could come close to that package, but none of their picks will be lottery picks and the young players they could offer aren't as good. Minnesota isn't going to say no to offloading a contract, getting two promising young players and two mid 1st to early 20's picks with the chance either or both could be lottery picks.

We can't offer anything close to that and Warriors can't either. Even if the Warriors gave in on Thompson, that would be the total return and Klay Thompson with pending max contract isn't better than Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, and two 1st round picks, which could be very valuable if the Heat lose LeBron and Bosh and the Grizzlies absolute best hope is 5th in the West. That is a great package and probably far more than the Cavs need to give up, but they can do it knowing they can add cheap vets who want to win a ring with LeBron and that they still have a 1st in 2015 and a potential trading chip in Anthony Bennett.

No, he is definitely right. He has had 11 days to talk to the other teams and decide. The Heat and family stuff he has had 26 days.

The reality is that we know very little of the factors involved, and by no stretch do we know enough to judge whether any free agent has had ample time to make a decision about their career. We can all agree that LeBron would be an ass to just sit on this and hold everyone's life hostage, but this seems more about our frustration with the process than his delaying it needlessly.

The James melodrama is getting beyond tiresome. For someone so decisive on the court, Lebron's indecisiveness at this juncture is rather breathtaking, in my opinion. It's like he's a puppet master without a clue pulling the strings, making the league dance. The question rattling around in my mind is why. Reports keep popping up that he's going back to Cleveland, for reasons that seem obvious. Analytics point to a move to one of 2 or 3 teams giving him a far better chance to win another championship, possibly multiple championships, than if he stays at Miami, with Wade clearly declining, and the contracts of the "Big Three" sucking up the ability of that organization improving a team smoked by SA in the Finals. Meanwhile, players, agents, and GM's are delaying their own decisions. Cleveland, led strongly to expect James to return, looking to do deals that will damage their team if Lebron "decides" to stay in Miami. Key targets for Houston, my main concern, of course, are left in limbo, those targets waiting for James to make up his mind.

The worst thing for Lebron's image is that he appears, fairly or not, to be milking his opt-out for all the publicity that can be squeezed into that bucket that is James and his entourage. For a man who has regretted how leaving Cleveland played out, a man so worried about his image and his legacy, James looks like he's going to give that image a big hit again if he doesn't return to Cleveland.

I've been cutting Lebron some slack because this will have such an impact on his life, that it is understandable that he'd take time making up his mind, but watching him jet around going to basketball camps in Vegas, and preparing to jet off to Brazil for the final of the World Cup, while a host of people, not the least being his Miami teammates, are left hanging, makes it hard to be sympathetic. Whatever is really going on behind the scenes, just make up your mind, dude! All my opinion, of course.

Will there every be another LeBron James?
Now from the basketball perspective but from the impact on the business of the NBA
The ability to have basically a one man lock out

A drama for a handful of teams, a near non-sequitur to the rest. Houston is certainly among those teams affected by this. And as a Rockets fan, I am tired as well.

If it turns out this wait is do simply that he cant make up his mind, then I accept that. If it turns out that his mind has been made up all along, but just wanted to watch teams and fans squirm, then wherever James lands rises to my most hated team, tied with Dallas.

Sounds like he can do no wrong.

You don't see how the rest of the league might be a bit annoyed at this point? Even the team he goes to needs to know in order to properly build their roster.
