Judging by Kyries personality if hes traded anywhere he will leave in FA, out of ..principle. My future is decided by myself not by others!
So if the Lakers trade for AD this week, they still won't beat GS this year. Assuming KD leaves which is a question mark, the earliest they could compete will be next season when LBJ is already 35 and further declined.
This. I wouldn't trade with Danny Ainge. He is extremely stubborn and trying to get anything remotely close to a fair trade done with him is a complete waste of time. Daryl Morey is difficult to deal with as well, but at least he is willing to give up assets and a fair amount of them if he is going to be getting a player he believes in (Harden and Paul). Danny Ainge is the type of guy that would be arguing about protections on a 2025 second rounder for two hours before completing a trade for Anthony Davis.
They wont have space for full max if this trade goes through. KD will have to take a discount to join the Lakers. He said he is through with giving discounts. Then you have a prideful guy like Kyrie, good luck getting a discount. The only chance to add a 3rd "star" is someone like Kemba.
How about 4 unprotected rockets picks in 2019-2025? Along with swap rights in the 3 years in between and all our seconds?
I would take the Lakers ones. Lebron is 34 years old and paid max money. If they give 4 picks, he will be 36 in time for the 2nd pick and 38 in time for the 3rd pick. While Hardens prime, should last longer.
Did anyone ask him if he finds it odd that his father doesn't want him to go to Boston because he claims the Celtics are not loyal, yet Davis' agent is willing to leak to the media in the middle of the season that his client wants a trade to the Lakers, sabotaging his teammates and teams season? I would like his response to that.
There's nothing special about Ingram or Kuzma. If they trade for them they will just find themselves having to grossly overpay or let them walk for nothing in a few years. The picks are gonna suck. If they have any common sense they will hold off until the offseason when a proper market can form instead of being forced to take whatever the Lakers send out. After Paul George, I think more teams will be willing to roll the dice without guarantees. If they are in fact cleaning house it would be even more ridiculous to let this regime make such an important trade.
Yup. Ainge is the reason they are in this situation. The good and the bad. Players like Jaylen Brown getting fed up by being treated as assets, GMs getting angry at him and refusing to engage in talks or refuse to wait him out. Good thing that NOP has Ferry in there at least.
CP3 is in that same boat if not further advanced. What if we are including capela? I would take capela plus 4 1sts over all 4 youngins and the 4 LA picks and it's not even close. Screams only way more value Especially so if morey is willing to do swap rights in the even years.
If someone offers you 4 firsts and they are unprotected then you take them. End of story. There will be no better offer than that. No real future star will be available if he hasnt been made available yet. Now if the Lakers firsts are like lottery protected then wait it out.
Capela > Ingram > Ball in my mind. Kuzma I could see being excited about. However, all three plus that foreign center PLUS 4 first round picks? I'll take the Lakers offer. However, nothing to indicate the Lakers are really willing to do that.
In this case the Pelicans should take the Rockets offer. Provided the firsts dont have protections ofc. Pick swaps+ 4 firsts? If this offer was on the table, they would have already taken it.
I think Capela is a product of harden and to a lesser extent CP3. Look at Kenneth Faried as an example.
