I will guaran-damn-tee you that Andray Blatche will not be acquired as the principal asset in any trade by the Rockets under the current regime. As others have said, he's not a "fit" for this team. To put it nicely. Please don't waste your time thinking about Blatche in a Rockets uniform. If McGee ever became available, though, I could see them looking into acquiring him.

Really? You'd rather have another POWER FORWARD that treats defense like ebola, ekes out 17 PPG on 42% shooting on an awful team and would ruin our offensive chemistry with his inability to play within Rick's system? Because I'd rather have the creative passing center who shoots 50%/40%/86% from the bench, knows his role and is a threat to go off for 25 on any given night.
I wouldn't want Blatche on the Rockets if they gave up nothing to get him. It would subtraction by addition.
the rockets need a couple things. a defensive center and a superstar to build around. blatche is neither of those things. mcgee would be nice, but he's no post defender either. great shot blocker, but too light to keep dominant post players out of the paint. im not saying i wouldn't trade for him, just reminding people that he may not be a great fit next to a poor defender like scola. mcgee needs to pair with a guy who can really guard the post which would let him come from the weak side for the block. however he's not a great offensive talent, so he also needs to pair with a big guy who can score the ball otherwise you will have a team with no scoring bigs who can only jack up low percentage shots on the perimeter. basically he would be a perfect fit next to a superstar PF.
Doesn't matter how talented he is, if he can't get along with Adelman or fit into the system he's useless (zero play time).
I thought it was awesome. Who cares if padding his stats during garbage time makes him happy? The game was already decided.
PASS Not a DM type of player at all. High Volume shooter, low efficiency scorer. Only averages 8 boards a game per 36 minutes. Plays mostly PF and not a game changer on defense. No thanks.
