Is that the same as Antonio Daniels? The only difference is that Mike James has a player option for 09/10. I am sure James will pick up his option.

    yeah, good point.

But I guess in this deal they pick up a prospect PG who can play right now for them (while they're in need) in addition to keeping that '10 expiring deal..? Daniels has been sucking all season long and has been dealing with an injury, and they also need to build for the future as this group of players is not going to be what gets it done in the East.

So essentially a pick for a prospect who can contribute.. sounds smart to me since you never know who will be available next year, and the Wiz will win more games later this year once Arenas is back, so the pick won't be in the lottery (hope it's protected for their sake..)

Hmmm with Crittenton being traded, it looks a little more unlikely that Memphis trades Conley Jr. to Portland.

seems like a decent trade for everyone involeved

The hornets get a veteran PG to play behind their young star (which is always what you want), the Wiz get a young prospect for their declining PG, and the Griz get a pick (more valuable to them than a guy that won't play).

hornets won big in this... hopefully they're the ones that gave up the 1st round pick. The only position they were missing was backup pg and now they picked up a solid solid player to fill that row and even play some sg. Damn this just makes the west even better. Before i wasnt even scared of new orleans because they suck without CP3 in there but now they're scary.

Yeah, Hornets got Daniels for James. Both are washed up. But at least Daniels doesn't think he's an all star. :D

Interesting, less than one year after the Bonzi + James for Jackson trade, all three players have moved on to somewhere else. Jackson to Sacramento. James to Washington. And Bonzi to China.

I don't like the trade. This move improved the Hornets.

sounds like a contract dump after Morey's contract dump last year. How fast the rise and fall of Mike James was. what a shame

    Wizards lose, Hornets win.

As dumb as I think Washington was for making this move, I'm even more dumbfounded by Memphis. Why? It's like they've shifted into perpetual rebuilding mode. They keep trading away talent and amassing draft picks. It doesn't make sense. Perhaps they feel that Crittenton is redundant behind Lowry and Conley. That I can understand, but I would think they should be all about getting veterans to complement their youngsters and provide some leadership. When are they going to actually bother to acquire a veteran player and actually start winning games?

How do the Wiz lose? They trade a mid-1st-round pick for Crittenton, who it's a little more clear will stick in the NBA (imo) than an unknown pick. James/Daniels have the same contract essentially, and both have sucked this year.

Perhaps a bit less likely, but not out of the question by any means. Mayo and Lowry can both play point.

With that trade kicker, Mike James should be a max player by now. :D

(actually, didn't he waive it to come back to Houston?)

Mayo doesn't look anything like a PG to me.

Yeah, I forget about those two 30th picks.

The difference between Pau and Marc is more than those cap room.

Without Pau, that Laker team is a first round exiter, with Pau it is a championship contender. Can you say that with Mac? Can you buy a center like Pau with the cap room you think is so important.

Clearly I know something about it, maybe not as much as you do.

Ok, they got Marc and 3 late first round picks, with some cap room that we don't know who they will sign with. Why people are so defensive about the Griz gm?

You think if Pau's still there with the current Griz roster, they still cannot compete.

No, but he could play backup minutes there while starting at SG. The Grizz have quite a few players that could shift positions.
