it’s certainly possible he thought KPJr was that Kevin Porter’s son, but then that would mean he thought he had KPJr at the age of 50 which would make him look stupid…then again, bringing up KPJr’s actual father in the context he did would be even dumber so take your pick of which level of stupid u think he is
the wizards broadcasters are absolute dopes - of course they thought it was the basketball one/confused with Kenyon Martin. They kept mentioning Kenyon sr. as soon as he checked in the game. They probably think Otto is his brother and Terry is his uncle. I mean, to pretend like it was some deliberate insult would require them to have deep knowledge of this current Rockets team which- let's face it, nobody in the NBA other than us cares about, for good reason.
That's not even the same thing though. He is a Jr, so he knows his dad is named Kevin Porter so that at least makes some sense. That is not the same at all as thinking he is related to every Porter
LBJ has initiated the cancel Pretty f'd up for this guy to say this if the murder charge is what he is actually eluding to. I really don't see any excuse around it
Yeah all the people being outraged on Twitter is laughable. LeBron even tweeted about it. It's so blatant that they just don't know wtf they're talking about. There is no way that was deliberate
I’d never seen this… but a pretty cool feature on KPJ, his memories of his father, and ironically- why he always wore #4 ( D-House didn’t give AF about any youngsters wanting “his” number)
I'll be completely honest - I didn't even know/remember until today that KPJ's father was a victime of homicide - I knew he had some crappy/troubled background, but otherwise forgot, and I'm on this board all day long. There's no way the dorks from the Wizards had that level of knowledge. Now they're going to have to respond mostly because LeBron picked it up. Also the metaphor doesn't make any sense, why would he say "pull the trigger like his father" if his father got shot?
Yeah I thought it was weird that immediately after he said it everyone got outraged simultaneously. All I could think was "y'all really thought he knew that?". I'm in the same boat as you in that I'm on here alot and completely forgot about it. Also it's not like I have any love for the Wizards broadcast but I hate whenever people jump to the absolute least charitable interpretation of stuff. It was a case of they didn't know what they were talking about.
It's 10:30 AM on the East Coast. He should have issued a mea culpa by now expressing his ignorance as to who Porter's father is and apologizing for his words.
