    I think he needs a little rest his game hasnt been up to par lately. Maybe a little rest and studying some jazz tapes will get his game where it needs to be. For christ sake they were guarding him with derek fisher he needs to be able to punish them for this. Although we will likely see ak47 guarding him more often in the playoffs but it was clear they have no answer for yao.

    I actually don't know if they'll put AK47 on T-Mac. Andre Kirilenko can never hope to guard T-Mac. He's too slow to stay with T-Mac. McGrady always punishes them for this.

    Jerry Sloan just made a brilliant switch in the game plan realizing that when T-Mac is playing the way he is, he lets himself be bullied by physical defenders and that he lets himself be taken out of the game.

    Needless to say Sloan will try it again in the playoffs, and needless to say he will wish he hadn't because T-Mac will ball Derek Fisher over like no other.

    Without T-mac we dont have a chance vs a WNBA team. They would just front Yao and force 25+ TO a game.

    Obviously. Rockets has no hope with either Yao or TMac at bad condition.

    What a useless and idiotic thread.

    Even with TMac, the Rockets would lose to the Mavs in the 1st round of playoffs circa 2005. I had no idea how TMac's back stiffened up in that 40-point blowout game.

    Did you see all those threads blaming TMAC and hinting that he is inefficient and should be traded?

    I sure wish I can share your optimism ... about JVG. Yes, I am sure TMac will rise up in playoff. But last night how JVG was owned by Don Nelson really crashed me. I now have no confidence what so ever with the Rockets coaching staff. Sloan will out smart, out coach JVG. And that is my deepest feat for the playoff.

    Without Alston, or Head, or Battier, or Hayse, The Rockets have NO hope...

    Without Alston, no one can bring the ball across the half court;

    Without Head, no one can make the 3pt;

    Without Battier, no one can guard other teams' top scorer;

    Without Hayse, no one can get a offensive rebound.

    Oh, we cannot lose the towel boy, either, 'cause we need the towel.

    I find it funny that T-mac can easily do three of the four and probably could do all four if he picked up Chuck Hayes-like hustle.

    So yeah, we really want to trade him. M...hmm.

    It's relatively easy to replace the above individuals with other players. But it's not easy to find a TMac caliber player to replace him. Go figure.

    no matter how much they are sucking right now, I'm still damn excited about the playoffs. TMAC and Yao play on a whole other level during the post season.

    We saw them against Dallas where they both were scoring 30pts+ at will.

    Go TMAC

    Go Yao

    GO ROCKETS!!!!!!

    You are probably right, but Jerry Sloan is widely hailed as a great coach. A coaching genius basically. JVG is considered a good, or really good, but not great, coach. Honestly, what did you expect? I'm not knocking JVG, but he doesn't have the flexibility to be able to do something like putting Fisher on McGrady in my opinion.

    As for being out-coached by Nelson, 2 things:

    1. That wasn't Nelson's original and fresh strategy to guard Yao. It's been used often against Yao when his teammates aren't hitting their shots or when T-Mac is not playing. That always works on Yao, essentially you're double teaming a slower guy before he gets the ball. His team has to make them pay for cheating off their man like that.

    2. T-Mac wasn't playing. He was not there to take advantage of that defense. JVG just didn't have the talent or ability on the floor to get it done, but what else would you expect when you're missing a superstar. Whether T-Mac would have himself taken played well enough to take advantage is still an unknown.

    calm down, guys!T-mac is ok, he is a smart guy! Have you seen ZERO is off?It's a tough time for the players who played 75 games. Let's relax T-Mac and Yao. So we will have a full team in the playoff!
