That's all on him too, right.....

The point was that T-Mac brings it in the playoffs, as supported by his career playoff stat line, which is 4th in the history of the GAME.

With a thread like this, you would think we just lost the 1st round.

FYI After Wednesday, today's loss will mean nothing. j*zz will lose to the Spurs, and we will have HCA AGAIN against them.

Yeah, you're def. right. He should of averaged 40/10/10/5/5 and carried his team to the second round somehow.

How many players have you seen put up multiple 45+ point games in one series?

i have a feeling his stat line is going to be pretty weak this year. especially against utah.

I hate morons like this op. You obviously know nothing about basketball, because Tracy has played his mind out in the playoffs. It is his team that has failed. To be honest, Yao was the real reason we lost to Utah last year. He completely sucked and Tmac stepped up, but we didn't have the bench to compete with Utah. We do this year.

I think we're alllllllllllllllllllll just a little bit unhappy.

Eh, this forum is like a collection of what happens when people get happy or angry too quick XD.

    But eh, I'll reiterate this.

    a) The Rockets STOLE T-Mac. For what essantially amounts to some castoffs (and we even got one of those castoffs back!) and a semi-decent SG, we got a star.

    b) T-Mac has consistently been shafted come playoff time. Yes, sometimes by his own preformance. But mostly by that of his team. He is NOT a playoff choker like a certain Pau Gasol, who got his ass swept out of every series or a certain Dirk, who is surronded by the second highest payroll in the NBA (if it weren't for the hole in the boat Knicks) and talent. In fact, statistically (yes I realize that this doesn't translate into wins...but you can't really blame McGrady unless you say he plays TOO good for the playoffs), he's one of the best preformers of all time.

c)Yao+T-mac project to 60+ win seasons. It's as easy as that. True, both are injury prone, but I don't know if you noticed which one of the two is missing more games...

d)There are VERY few NBA players in the same caliber as McGrady. Even less so if you consider those that could be up for trades. And no, Rose (or any other unproven draft pick) does not equal Chris Paul and does not>>>>>>McGrady.

e)We're all a bit too pissed to be talking rationally anyways...:/

IMO McGrady should be given one more season. It took Carter two seasons to recover from his knee at around the same age. It's obvious McGrady has recovered some of his athletic ability - but he's lost his handles/shot.

Next year is a contract year for him... He'll def. be up to par by then.

I think you are right, but I won't attribute that to Utah. His body is just wearing down. He has played injured substantially all season. A healthy T-Mac would, in my opinion, would put up great numbers. Maybe not of historic proportion, but...

that's just the scoring. overall, his playoff stat line isn't that much more impressive than, say, dirk's, which most of the board label a playoff choker.

Seriously, guys like David West, Amare, and Boozer are all better jump shooters than McGrady right now. He has completely lost his J. If the Rockets don't have homecourt in the first round, I fear a quick series is coming no matter who we play.

I don't know but maybe I am not the guy you should be asking such questions because I cant seem to remember the last star player to not get out of first round in 7 tries either.
