Well, unfortunately for us Rockets fans, we all know what will occur a few days from now. There is no possible way we get out of the 1st round against UTAH. They have the best home record in the league, even better than the Celtics. We have an ailing McGrady, injured Rafer, and a hurt Battier. Unless, the Jazz completely choke in one of the home games, McGrady will remain winless in the playoffs. Yes, and then I will be open for a McGrady trade in the offseason, enough is enough!

Nowhere is a very strong word.

I guess he'll land us to Galveton bay for fishing. :D

Tmac is not a number 1 guy, he is a great number 2 guy, which is why I was so excited that Yao had finally become the number 1 guy....

    We need him back....

Agreed. He's become a Pippen. Minus the ambition. Minus the defense. Minus the aggressiveness.

I agree with you, but I still think he's capable of being "T-Mac" when he's actually motivated to be "T-Mac," and I sure hope he finds it within himself between now and this weekend. Until then, he's just McGrady.

This thread has some merit, but I seriously think the fact that his team was favored in only 1 out of those 7 series, that at least two of the underdog teams were close to winning, and that that 1 series as favorites last year came down to the wire says something. That he doesn't give it his all most of the time is clear, but if he can change his mindset into attack mode, play D like we know he can even half the time, and with decent players around him, we are going places.

It's weird, in the beginning of the season he was just amazing. Remember against Lakers, Utah? And in the streak he was great as well, remember against New Orleans, his 41 points? He was aggressive and it was the old T-Mac back from Orlando. Now after those outbursts happened, he would get injured. And the injuries hold him back. Those are the only things that hold him back, nothing else. He just needs some rest, and to take some load off, hopefully let him play less minutes, and he'll be back.

So he'll be back, once he fully recovers from injury and fatigue.

I wanna get one thing clear.

If T-Mac gets past the first round, do we(and the media) put him on the same pedestal as KG!?
KG hasn't won much more than T-Mac has in his career either. Both have numerous All-Star and All-NBA selections, KG has an MVP, T-Mac 2 scoring titles and a MIP. KG got 2 All-Star MVP, T-Mac led his team to a 22 game winning streak, something most players weren't even alive to see the last time it happened. Both carried near D-league teams to the playoffs on several occasions and has put up good fights. KG only got out the first round once, and that was with major help. He'll likely do the same this year with 2 other #1 scoring options.

KG is being mentioned as a top PF of all-time. Do we mention T-Mac as a top SG/SF of all time!?

Not bashing on KG, the numbers speak for themselves, as with T-Mac. They both earned their props.

well that's whole another question. Again if you couldn't answer my question about TMac going out instead of Yao during the regular season, we know whats your answer in the playoffs would be without TMac.

The point I am making is TMac is the most valuable player in this team as he has proven consistently last year and this year. Whereas our second most valuable player Yao has not. So give TMac some slack if we are giving Yao so much. It's just that simple. In the playoffs we just cannot expect him to win alone without Yao. I am sure we would give Yao this slack too wouldnt we?

Considering the Jazz haven't clinched homecourt advantage why would we need them to "choke" at home? I'm glad you can look into the future.

Minus the skillz, minus the winner attribute, minus the respect from the fans.

Copter - has all the ambition/aggressiveness, yet lacks the posting skillz or cerebral attributes necessary to ever get respect from this board...

This is the year to get that monkey of T-Mac back and he needs team support. Let us help him doing that and let us make history again. First 22 wins now the Championship why not.

    lol, championship? T-Mac?

He is the last star on the planet that deserves championship. Barkley deserved it, maybe stockton and malone, Garnett and ray allen (maybe this year), but tmac?

This lazy ass loser which is one of the worst defensive players on the planet, running from responsibility blaming teammates on losses is the last player that deserves world championship.
