I have to agree here, i don´t think T-Mac is franchise building material anymore, but Yao on the other hand will never be.

Rockets record without him speak for itself.

I agree, but atleast with homecourt they can give whoever they play a series and not a quick exit if they don't have homecourt.

Kobe or Lebron would not be able to drive to the basket against 3 people zoning up against them...so why do expect Tmac to do that, especially considering he doesn't get calls inside.

His team is very limited now with the exception of Scola. Bobby Jackson is a great guy off the bench, but he is a shoot first point guard, and Rafer was missed greatly tonight. Battier is still fighting injury, and looked very rusty out there. Mutombo is strictly defense, and so is Hayes. Landry is not the same after the injury, but hopefully he can heal up a little more by playoffs time.

With that being said, who is gonna help relieve pressure of Tmac? With Yao there, its an entire different story, but with this team, its amazing that Tmac can get them to the playoffs with 50+ wins 2 years in a row.

Lebron can't get a more talented supporting cast to win 50 games in the EAST!

Kobe missed the playoffs altogether with Lamar Odom and Caron Butler with him.

Even with the teams the last couple of years, which had decent talent, they couldn't get 50 wins, nor could he get them out of the first round, after blowing a 3-1 lead, and not showing up in game 7.

What Tmac has done in a team sense is pretty remarkable. He's not the Tmac from Orlando anymore...we can't expect that because of the constant injuries he has. But, he is still a great player who gets his teamates going, has great vision, and is a mismatch for any player in this league.

Plus, his playoff stats proves that he can elevate his game to the next level, and I believe with Rick Adelman as his coach, they can get out of the 1st round this year.

You could watch the clevland - detroit series from last year and decide for yourself whether lebron can or cannot drive to the basket whenever he wants.

Coming money time, he will stop at nothing but the rim. Mcgrady halts at the 3 point line and shooting bricks with a hand in his face.

    Anywayz, bye bye season 2008.

However, Kobe and Lebron will get to the line and they shoot a better % especially on the FT's.

Thank you. Finally someone who know what he is talking about. It's very hard to find people who haven't gone mad these days. I guess it' the time of the season where fans stop reasoning. Every needs to look at reality, it's not a video game. Tracy s a human being, not a robot. Sure, he's not perfect, but you shouldn't expect him to be. He'll show up, we all know him to be one of the best shooting guards of all time. Not many can do what he does, and fans need to appreciate what he's brought to the team. You should be more than thankful for having him, and you'll see what happens when there is no more T-Mac, how much you'll regret it.

exactly, all those playoff series losses were because of TMAC's teammates, but not himself. Smart conclusion.

If that was true then we will have no trouble trading him for LeBron this postseason, Cleveland will be glad to make that trade, right?

Please if you are going to post no-sense, stop right there.

Teams are not made only by names, structure and Discipline had a lot to do with it, this year Rockets are a far more structured and disciplined team than the cavs, and so were last season Cavs, that´s why they got past Detroit on route to the Finals.

This Rockets team is better than the Cavs team for many reasons, the main being they are much better defensively.

LeBron, like it or not, is a better player than T-Mac, both individually and as a team player, if you don´t see this then you have to by the 07-08 T-Mac glasses because yours are 2 or 3 seasons old.

I don't know that you will trade him for a star in the off season but I think the Rockets will shop Mac this summer once we go out in the 1st round again. I can't pin all the 1st round exits on Mac alone but he's been a big part of it.

Do you think Derick Fisher could shut down Kobe or Lebron or that Kyle Kover could guard Kobe? Hell no but Mac on the other hand who has the killer instinct of a Lame Llama can be shut down even in playoff games by guys that he should be dunking on. We need more guys like Scola and even Bobby Jackson. These are guys who never quit and go balls to the walls in every game and Mac is just not one of those players.

Fans often let their emotions get in the way of proper thinking. Frustration and anger causes them to lose rationality and proper reasoning. Think a little bit please, and don't let your emotions get in the way.

His teams have been overmatched. Only once did he ever have homecourt advantage.

You so-called fans and name takers should do your damn research.
