who said? i'm a tmac fan and i blamed him. tmac blamed himself and took all the responsibility in the press conference. the media blamed him and JVG (and JVG took the boot).

yao hasn't taken a lick of criticism from the media one bit.

don't assume some tmac jockers on this board. tmac is criticized more than you ever know from the media and the general NBA fanbase.

We dont trash a player if he is giving his best. Yao gives his best. I dont think Tracy has giving his best ever. If he played hard all night and quit laughing when his team is losing I would not hate on him.

6 times. The first year in Toronto he was a role player. (16 points a game)

Let's look at his teammates in Orlando series 1:
    TMac averages 33.8 points
No one on his team averaged more than 13.3 points a game. The other marquee players were Darrell Armstrong, Mike Miller and Pat Garrity. They lost to a Bucks team with Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen and Sam Cassell (and Rafer :p )

    Orlando Series Two
    TMac averages 30.8 points
Once again, Darrell Armstrong, Troy Hudson were the only two players that averaged over 9 points. The lost a Hornets team that had Jamal Mashburn, Baron Davis, Elden Campbell and the one good Jamaal Magloire season.

    Orlando Year Three:
    TMac averages 31.7 points.
Drew Gooden only player on team to average over 10 points. All Star cast includes Armstrong, Gricek and Jaque Vaughn. Mike Miller was out. They lost to The Pistons who had Hamilton, Billups, Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince and Okur.

The other two were in Houston. You've watched those, I assume.

Yes, Tmac deserves some blame for not advancing, but calling him a choker in those matchups and with those supporting casts is stretching it

dude, this is my last response to your stupid post. please bring arguments to the table and not just go crazy.

it's fine if you blame tmac, but it's a fact that tmac elevates his game in the playoffs. he has performed at a high level in the playoffs. that's a FACT.

his teams have not won. i cannot argue that fact. but if tmac plays at the superstar level in the playoffs, what else do you want him to do?

Ill be honest... didnt follow Mcgrady when he was in Orlando.... but his first season as a Rocket, he became my favorite player instantly.... Ill give you the dallas series.... He could of hardly done much more in that series.... Yao was still young....

Tmac's problem is that he makes himself guardable. There should be no way guys like Korver or Fisher be able to guard him. Guys like Kobe or MJ would have taken it as disrespectful if Korver guarded them and lit the Jazz up for 50!

are we talking about the playoffs? tmac has tried 110% in the playoffs.

if we're talking about the reg. season, you're right. he coasts quite often.

but we're talking abut the upcoming playoffs. so going by the past, tmac will show up and put up super-worldly stats.

he put up the best game 7 of his career last yr - 29 and 13. those are CAREER #s for even guys like kobe/lebron/wade/.... in the playoffs.

let's put down the pipe. i thought he played horrible tonight and last night.

but if we're talking about the playoffs, please do not question his heart or passion. dude puts it out on the floor in the playoffs.

I gave you my points... atleast in the JAZZ series... He may have put up pretty numbers, but at a horrible shooting clip... He also tends to not show up in the most important moments save the game winner in game 2's victory in the Mav series....

exactly. if tmac plays like this in the playoffs, i would be the first to say trade his arse.

but given his history, i have zero doubt he'll step up and step up HUGE. his last playoff game, he just put up 29 and 13 and accounted for all but 7 baskets of the team.

yea, 29 and 13. tell me another SG/SF who can put up those stats in a game 7 right now

if you're gonna blame a dude for putting up 29 and 13 for winning the game, well, that's gonna be tmac's fate.

29 and 13, i seriously cannot know who else can put up those stats right now in a game 7.

he scored 18 of his 29 pts in the 2nd half in that game 7. he scored 9 pts in the 4th quarter.

i'm sure we look back and wished tmac would have put up 15-16 pts in that 4th quarter and put up 39 and 13 for us to win.

but PLEASE, IS THAT REALISTIC??? he needs to have some freakin' help.

Exactly! TMac went off for 29 13 and 3 blks
and these morons are saying he cholked?
meanwhile, Boozer had 35 and 14 mostly on Yao.
If Yao had not given up so many offensive rebounds in the end
then the results would have been different

well I never said he was a chocker....

anyways I lost my focus and chain of thought...

Infact I would be so happy if we had the Mcgrady of 2 years ago.... WE definitely would have a great shot against any of the western teams if we had the Mcgrady of old.... My point was lost in this thread... Im upset at Mcgrady because of his recent performace and scared for him because I honestly think he lost his game and his edge.... This is easily his worst season ever, and he is only getting older....

yea if we had the McGrady from the 05 playoffs there wouldnt be any discussion right now. We'd probably sweep the Jazz with that McGrady. unforunately injuries have taken its toll on T-Mac and in 2 years he's become a lot worse.
