With this Dwightmare, was LeBrons decision really all that bad?

Lebron donated the money made from the the coverage to the Boys and Girls Club. He made something positive out of his "decision". I don't think it was the worst, plus we all knew when the decision was going to be made.

I prefer knowing a set date, as opposed to being in the dark and reading about it via a twitter update.

I'll take one 'LeBron decision' over 2 1/2 years of Dwightmare. 3 teams in 3 years: woo-hoo!

I hate the characterization of Dwight as 'indecisive'. Chris Broussard reports Dwight is leaning one way then some other idiot tweets Dwight is leaning another way and this gets translated to Dwight be 'indecisive'. Maybe he has always known what he wants to do and these reporters just suck. I listened to ESPN open so discussion about Howard yesterday with 'We can all agree Howard is indecisive':rolleyes:.

People don't hate the hot girl because she knows shes hot. They hate her attitude. There are plenty of hot girls who have confidence and are very likeable.

People dislike LeBron because of his attitude and worth ethics. The guy is a beast of a player and should be completely dominating the league. Instead, he is floundering about, barely squeaking by in the playoffs.

There are a few good and likable players out there; Tim Duncan and Kevin Durant are just a couple to name.

And you wonder why everyone hates the Miami Heat and especially their fans.

You've basically just said the sun rises in the west. Yes, LeBron killed Mike Brown, as evidenced by the fact that they just hired him back now that LeBron is gone.

Dwightmare is far worst than decision, because it has carried through nearly two NBA seasons...

I know people on this board are vehement about LeBron, yet want Dwight to desperately land in Houston. It's not going to be quite objectively expressed on this site.

Last season, Dwight's camp may no bones about leaving Orlando and possibly ending up in Brooklyn (to team up with other superstars, be a center piece in a big market, and linked to Jay-Z connections). Finds himself in the midst of trade bait, possibly to Houston or Golden State ... Rumored to hold-out via injury and recovery for the rest of the season.

Quickly, Dwight opts in for the rest of the season in Orlando. Later, we found out that Howard expressed to Orlando management that he wanted Stan Van Gundy to be fired and threw his teammates way under the bus. At this point, we already knew Dwight probably had next to zero intentions of remaining in Orlando and definitely wanted to hop onto the Brooklyn train. Things didn't quite go according to plan, so he ended up in LA. Where he, more or less played lackluster and mediocre at times to the detriment of the team's success, especially in the playoffs.

Now, the circus remains, yet not quite in his usual frenzy. The frenzy in this manner lands squarely on the shoulder of the outsiders, such as fans, teams, and companies going to great lengths to acquire the NBA's possible best center.

LeBron remained a consummate professional on the court and behind closed doors as he entered the last year of his contract. He always gave his teams the best chance to win, improved his game, and become one of the greatest players in history. I thought the Decision was a great idea, because it became an event that people wouldn't normally watched or cared for into a prime time special. That's rarely done in sports. Why would ESPN, David Stern, sponsoring companies, or Lebron James (and his camp) have any reason to turn such an event down? LeBron James in his free agency path never really or directly threw his teammates under the bus, while he never asked for anyone to be fired (Mike Brown, i.e., that's more conspiracy theory than anything). Most of all, the results of the Decision actually went to charity, immediately... while the Miami Heat has yielded three more NBA Finals appearances and two consecutive NBA championships.

With Dwightmare...it's hard to say who will ultimately benefit the most or at all.

I think what Dwight did the past two years was way worse. Demanding to be traded, then opting-in, then asking for the coach and the GM to be fired, and then still demand a trade in the offseason. There was a point where I was sick and tired of hearing his name on espn.

He has not work ethic, but Lebron has consistently gotten better. He shot 40% from 3s. He barely squeaked by because other teams are good, and wade and bosh kind of sucked. He is a 4 time MVP and he is barely floundering about?

Stop letting the hate blind you.

Hilarious how you acknowledge the one person in this thread who agrees with you, while everyone else thinks you're full of it, and pretend that somehow you have popular support.

Still pretending not to be a Heat fan?

actually any voice of reason would say: apples to oranges.

We don't know exactly how Dwight will make his announcement. Also, if Dwight first places a courtesy call to Lakers ownership, then he'll already be ahead of Lebron for handling *this* decision. (Shrug.)

We can't compare b/c this decision hasn't been made.

I was never as passionate about all the so-called drama.

NBA front offices can be just as untimely and fickle with their decisions.
