60% huh? Why not 61.5% since this is so testable and we're being absolutely scientific with percentages and all.

Sorry. This is a pointless thread. You don't even back up the premise of it in the first post.

This is like mocking a fantasy football draft in March. I can think of no better use of my time. Ingenious thread! (sarcasm)

The pro-tankers are so ill-informed that it's funny. The chances of anyone the Rockets get in the lottery improving the team significantly enough to make a losing season worthwhile are very slim. The vast majority of lottery players do not turn out to be stars.

I would rather the Rockets have a winning season and make the playoffs, even as an 8 seed, and continue to improve the team via free agency and trades.

The NBA is not like major league baseball where rebuilding needs to take place.

Sorry that it's a little low budget, but hopefully it does the trick:

I was honestly just bored. I could see us all across the spectrum this season. We could end up with the 9th pick this year...or the 19th pick. Either way, it's not going to be a championship, unfortunately.

I stopped reading right there. Definitely not a pro-tanker; far from it, actually. I'm more of a realist. And I think we aren't going to be very good this year, although as I stated in the above post, I could see us making the playoffs if all goes right (and some luck is involved, i.e. J. Lamb is at least a 15 point scorer, Carlos Delfino proves to be a vastly underrated pick-up, etc.).

That's what I'm hoping for. I want the young guys to improve and make great strides while sneaking in the playoffs. The experience will be great for them and it will show that Morey has found some gems. We can worry about getting our lottery pick from the Raptors.

making the playoffs with our current roster would be a excellent start considering some teams will be cutting cost to stay away from tax next season
