This was the answer to the guy that said "It's pretty ridiculous that you can tank every year, be the worst team in the league, and automatically get the top pick". :D

    I don't want a 3 & d role player with a top 5 pick ever.

I’m ignorant to all things AJ Griffin but does his injury history concern anyone?

Surprised Mathurin is not getting more love here on CF's

At #5, I see Keegan and Mathurin very close.

We don't pick draft picks purely off of PER stat; but an FYI:
    https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/bennedict-mathurin-1.html

    Chet............31.3 PER
    Jabari..........25.1 PER
    Banchero....24.2 PER
    Mathurin.....21.1 PER
    AJ Griffin......20.7 PER

    Keegan Murray.....37.8 PER

How is Jalen Duran's defense? I'm intrigued with this kid and his size.

He looks like someone who can clog the paint and defend it....unlike the Sideshow Bob we have currently.

Chet is probably the worst hyped option coming out the draft ever. First off, he will get destroyed in the nba as a center given how skinny he is. Second, he is a ankle or leg injury away from Greg Oden. Bigmen that take long strides are at high risk for leg injuries, ask C Wood. The Rockets need Jabari Smith

Hey that's awesome, but I doubt either one is going to be available at the #5 pick which is what this thread is about.

I said Keegan Murray. Then if we stay put at #17, we should have a shot at Mark Williams. While it would be short on experience, I think that you start to see a pretty balanced roster through only two drafts. And that's before you even do anything with Wall, Gordon and Wood's $81M.

Glad we can't fall any further than 5th, but that worst case scenario still doesn't look that bad.

    You'll have to excuse him.

Someone let out the village idiot again.

But how are two variants of Jalen Green gonna help us out lol. The website lists him at 6'6 cuz with shoes he really is 6'6....thats not much diff from Jalen Green being 6'6 with shoes and 6'5 barefoot.

Talent without skill or attitude isnt worth squat, one reason Green was a top pick is people swearing on his character and work ethic, you also saw that on display in his play in GLeague. We havent seen Sharpe play, we havent seen how he handles adversity or the grind of continuous high level play. You also dont know if his shot and skill will translate to better comp than AAU level. Other teams need a star sg so maybe they take a chance on Sharpe but the Rox have s glut on sgs so why does that make any sense?

I know people always say go bpa but what they dont say is you waste your current players value if you go bpa. Other teams arent blind if they see you got a glut they arent gonna offer much for your spare parts. Case in point KPJ Rox got him for a top 55 protected 2nd rounder but the Cavs gave up 4 2nd rounders to get him a year ago.

Rox have holes everywhere but SG aint one of them.

My point about him being 6'5 guard is his size isnt anything special in today's game, like its standard size. So if he turns into a super rsw talent you kinds just wasted your pick.

Its not like say James WiseMan who is 7'1 but with 3 pt range. Wiseman was also an unknown snd turned out super raw and kind of a scrub but GSW is ok rearing him cuz his size and potential skillset is worth investing and a guy like that will always go high in the draft. Another example is Cade Cunningham, he's like a 6'6 pg so you know he has elite size for his position and that size gives him a big advantage.

Yeah because the Pelicans, Pistons, Kings, Cavs, Magic and Timberwolves have been powerhouses from being bad for so long.

Their issie was they werent bad enough, they stay on the fringe of being bad and collect low lotto picks. Low lotto oicks are nice but arent taking you anywhere. Either that or they took the wrong player in the drsft.

It is Shaedon Sharpe by a landslide, IMO.
