Top guard in 2023 draft is Scoot Henderson.

But Sharpe likely is top 5, just like this draft.

If we get the 5th pick and Lakers end up with a top 3, I'll know the NBA is fixed.

If the Lakers end up in the top 3 without having a first round pick I'll be pissed as well.

You should already know by now, and what's worse, they don't care.

I agree I’m not saying draft him, I’m saying his name should be on the poll as an option especially if your going to put Johnny Davis. Me personally I wouldn’t pick him either since we have Jalen, Josh, KPJ, and Matthews, But seeing as it’s positionless basketball in the NBA today you can easily slide Sharpe to the 3 for now. And I don’t know why you feel him being 6’5” is an issue when most of the best 2 guards in the NBA are around 6’5” or shorter (Harden, Booker, Mitchell, Beal, LaVine, McCollum, Herro, Edwards(been rumored to have grown to 6’6” but they still list him at 6’4”) we literally just took Jalen Green with the #2 pick and he's 6’4”. Only good to great SG’s I can think of thats 6’6” or taller in today’s NBA are Klay and Jaylen Brown (who has some SF in his career), maybe Trent Jr. I understand you not wanting to take Sharpe because we haven’t seen enough of him and we have a lot of shooting guards but you shouldn’t be against him for his height in today’s NBA

I forgot about Scoot, so I take back what I said about him being the top guard but we both agree he would be top 5 in next years draft and could potentially be in this years draft

It’s pretty ridiculous that the worst team in the league has almost has a coin flip chance of getting the 5th pick.

I am also an aficionado of late surprise picks.

I'd take Sharpe. Potential is all that matters at this point still.

It depends. He is still growing and the Kentucky website list him at 6'6 and he actually looks that tall. Watch his high school game tape. Basically if you take jalen green and he is bigger, stronger and not quite as fast, you have sharpe. One other person posting was right. He may not be available at 5. And as much as I like KPJ, you have to draft talent and trade for positions.

I understand the intrigue but its never a good idea to take an unknown so high in a draft.

Not really, it was necessary to disincentivize tanking.

Then you might as well take Mathurin or Duren on potential as well.

Alot of this answer is how Sharpe does in his individual workout.

Things just got interesting. Basically a guarantee of getting either Holmgren, Smith, Banchero, Ivey or Sharpe.

I haven't posted much recently but I chimed in on this thread yesterday with my choice for #5: Sochan

Fast forward to today: got back from work early ... Put on Comedy Central and Seinfeld is on. Meanwhile I check out this thread to see who else was brave enough to list "Sochan" as their choice for #5 and you happen to be first.... With your Seinfeld avatar n all

    It's an omen.
