If? So you dont agree competition doesnt matter when it comes to FT%? You realize nobody is defending you on fts right?

I didnt consider Bryant's high school ft because his college fts was more recent and I was too lazy to look up high school stats. And they are still below Coward regardless so it is irrelevant imo.

With Whitemore, it's mostly defense and his attitude....probably.

Agreed, and with Reed it was mostly horrific shooting and defense... probably

The stats are the same but that is a reflection of the league being dramatically better, him playing better defense which causes his offense to regress, and Jalen Green now being the focus of the best defenders every game. Basically the fact his stats havent dropped shows he is actually improving. In contrast if you look at stagnant teams with zero improvement like Kings or Lakers (pre Luka), their performance has definitely dropped from where they were 4 yrs ago.

Regardless, now is not the time to trade Jalen unless you are a fan of buy high sell low.

This is not true. Smart was traded for Porzingis while Ime was still the head coach.

I would only trade Jalen for #5 straight up. Then would probably take Tre and BPA at #10.

Or if you could get #5 for Jalen then maybe you take #5 and #10 and package it for a SG that you actually want.

Ime Udoka was head coach of the Celtics the 2021-2022 season.

Marcus Smart was traded from the Celtics in June of 2023... just a bit over 2 months after Ime Udoka became the head coach of the Rockets.

    Care to revise your statement?

i honestly don’t think we could get anything more than a late lotto pick for Jalen with his near-max contract.

I was responding to someone who said Marcus Smart was traded while Ime was still the coach of the Celtics.

If he’s improved why is it selling low?

    Maluach or Jakučionis

I like their games and they fit well.

I also want to watch you idiots misspell their names for a few years,.

Who will be your choices if they are gone by the 10th pick? I think Houston should go for BPA and package him with Cam or Brooks for a young vet. Brooks' trade value seems to be pretty good. I wish Houston could acquire Jaden McDaniels. That's going to be hard to pull off.

Because he just had a bad performance. It was only 7 games but people already ignored his regular season performance because of that.

Coward would be best imo. He feels the need for good spacing but he can grow into a good defender with his measurables and athleticism so he will get PT under Ime.

Jaden Mcdaniels? Yet another guy who cant shoot? And you wanna trade Brooks and 10th? Brooks is better than Mcdaniels straight up lol. Cheaper too.

But I don’t really recall anyone being enamored with his regular season performance, either. It was more of the same. The playoffs were seen as a chance for him to show why we should tolerate such regular season mediocrity. If he follows up this playoff performance with another regular season like last year, it’s not going to raise his stock any.

Why would the Jazz trade the rights to draft their pick of Tre Johnson/Fears/Jakucionis for a mercurial 5th year shooting guard that hasn't improved on offense for over 4 years now?

He isnt worth the 5th pick in this draft. Last years draft probably. But this years draft no. I'm not even sure the Raptors would be interested at #9.
