Welp time for me to spend 2 hours watching youtube videos so I can expertly have an opinion on this.

i don't have it in me to watch videos on a potential 10th pick this year.

if the Rockets keep it hopefully someone exceeds expectations or falls, but last night was genuinely a gut punch.

I think trading the pick in a package for Giannis or Booker (OKC/San Antonio/Dallas all have better trade packages now) is the move because San Antonio is coming and the Rockets need to win one or at least really be competing for the finals in the next few years or a soft rebuild is going to be needed.

I don't know any of these kids
    but
    Trades intrigue me.

Any interest in: Trae Young - Josh Giddy (Free Agent)

My list on the order in which I'd go from a Rockets standpoint.

    Flagg/Harper/Edgecombe/Bailey will be all gone.

    5. Kneppel - best all round role player
    6. Jackucionis - intriguing playmaking and shot was good pre-injury
    7. Johnson - Jalen replacement
    8. Fears - upside play with his athleticism and driving ability
    9. Malauch - has Myles Turner/Brook Lopez upside
    10. Richardson - Jalen replacement

Of the two players mocked the most to the Rockets, Carter Bryant and CMB, I'd much prefer Bryant. I don't really get why the Rockets would want CMB given their existing terrible spacing. But Bryant I can see them try to groom to be Dillon Brooks replacement.

Don’t bother. I think we can safely assume this pick will now be part of a trade package.

I think #10 is part of a deal to move up and take Knueppel. Get ready to start making "Wrath of Kon" memes.

    a trade

we have no use for some rookie that won’t contribute right away and won’t get any PT

[ X ] Great defensive anticipation and weak side shot blocker/thief
    [ X ] Thick as a tree stump
    [ X ] Can't shoot

Which of these is the worst shooter? That will be Stone's top target

Jabari has become a good outside shooter so they worked on limiting his attempts in the playoffs.

If Kon or CMB are there at #10 you take one. I’d be more interested in CMB if we did a consolidation trade. But there’s a good chance neither are there at #10. I don’t want Maluach. I like Queen and Fears’ potential but both are poor fits; could make sense if we did a consolidation trade. Two guys that I think really benefited from yesterday’s measurables are Sorber and Fleming. If Fleming doesn’t have to put the ball on the floor he’s gonna be really successful and now we know he can play center with that length. Sorber is absolutely enormous, but spacing would be a big problem I think. I want to trade the pick unless Kon is there frankly, which he won’t be.

With the Spurs getting #2 pick, I think the better odds is that they are getting Giannis and the Rockets rolling it back.

    I want Queen.

What I expect is a PG who can’t hit a 3 to save his life

I think u stay the course with bari because he’s going to get a lot better and he’s 6’11”. I think his future is at center. If Bari can bulk up he can be a real weapon with his ability to guard on the perimeter and step out and stretch the floor. That’s what he and Ime should be working on. Need to see a much stronger Bari next season. Weight and strength.

I feel like we end up with Kon somehow, and extra hot take with no basis other than gut.....he will end up better than Flagg.

Giannis or a combination of Jaylen Brown/Derrick White are what we should be looking at. We are one superstar away from title contention.

I don't know why people are saying we have no need for this pick. There's no guarantee we resign Steven Adams, Jeff Green and Jae'Sean Tate are free agents and likely not worth keeping around for 8 mil each, and Jock Landale and Aaron Holiday have team options that could clear up 13 mil in salary.

Even if the guy we draft is 10th or 11th in our rotation, we'll still need that over the course of an 82-game season. And if we wind up nailing the pick, it could make one of the core players expendable if they fail to live up to expectations.

Trading up to get a role player is going to look really bad. You only trade up for someone you think is special.

    Kasparas Jakucionis from Ilinois ?

This is exactly what Houston needs. 6-6 SG/PG Combo guard who can shoot. Jack of all trades they call him, can do everything. They compare him
to the best next thing to cooper, and is like next Austin Reaves.

I even trade wiith nets to move up, hopefully he still on the board at 10!
