2 - 0. Ish Smith sucked while he played and Brooks has no defense game

With Lowry we wouldn't have lost that lead, and yes 2 and 0!

2-0. He would have shut ellis and curry down solo, shannon brown and blake too. He would have also blocked shots inside and rebounded the ball better than yao and scola together. He is the diffrence maker and has multiple title to show for it. Also, he has running tab at The Breakfast Klub which no player has ever had.

I think that he should start but Adelman favors O over D, even though we have enough in the starting line and Kyle would distribute the ball better.

But I think if Ish or Lee show to be solid backups, I could see Brooks gone for sure. That just makes the most sense, who would pay that much for a backup point guard?

If we can trade brooks, Battier, and picks and fillers for a small forward all star and our backup is good, then we are easily championship contenders.

I think that shawn marion would be an awesome acquistion. He has solid D and his offense is pretty sharp.

What makes you think that?

What's he gonna play? PF? We already have a million PFs and Adelman isn't playing half of them already. You think we don't have enough?

Marion can't shoot either, which is a a BIG NO-NO for any offense that involves Yao Ming.

With a distributing point guard he would probably average about 14 pts per game and we wouldn't have a defensive liability at the 1.

    Lowry/Martin/Marion/Scola/Yao

    not bad, IMO.

2-0, having him in the game allows the best closer on the team (AB) to not be exhausted by games end. He was dead tired in both those games

THat would be terrible. And a distributing PG is not what is needed for Adelman's offense. ANd Marion sucks

Lowry's our best perimeter defender and the only guy quick and strong enough to guard any kind of PG out there.

How is a distributing point guard a bad thing??? On the contrary, for his offense to work you need players with good passing abilities...

And please tell me how does Marion suck?

Resources are wasted when you having to great point guards. That money could be allocated to our SF dilemma and make a larger contribution to the overall team. Having battier is great and all but I think its time to pass the torch.

Ok I appreciate your advocating of Marion on the Rockets, and I love Marion as a player too, but the reality is he just doesnt fit with the Rockets.

He is too small to play PF as a starter.

He can't shoot the 3 point shot AT ALL so he can't play SF if we want to space the floor like we do with Yao Ming being the integral part of the offense and offense starting with and running through Yao.

You need to understand Adelman's system before you suggest another player for this team.

I recommend you go study and analyze Adelman's Sacramento teams.

Haha, I used to advocate on this board loads and loads of players that I thought would be awesome to have on the team. I started threads about Andre Miller, etc etc and when people said they would suck on this team I completely did not understand. Then the more and more I understood what an Adelman team is all about I started realising whos good and whos not.

e.g. andre miller would be terrible for this team.

Take a look at his shot selection though. He knows where his game is and doesn't over reach. But I have to agree that it wouldn't be smart losing our 3 point shooters. That would only really leave us with K-mart for the in and out game...

because you cant have two guys in Lowry and Marion on the court with Yao. They are almost exclusively capable of making shots around the rim. They cannot hit from the outside. With a dual low post presence (Yao/Scola) you must have shooters.

And Adelman's system is about cuts and team passing, not PG passing. In fact, Vlade and CWEBB were consistently the leaders in assists on the old Kings team. Do you think Bibby was a great distributer? No, but the guy made plays and was clutch down the stretch which is the exact role AB needs to fill.

Old news but I always thought Ariza should have stopped trying to be Kobe and be more like Marion. Someone who could do a the little things and feel a stat sheet, when Martin got here he kind of started doing that.

You want a darkhorse trade for Morey at trade deadline or maybe in the offseason...Deron Williams. The Jazz look BAD and he has already stated in the past that he doesn't like the cost cutting way Utah runs things and losing Matthews along with Boozer could not have pleased him.
