Mike James are getting taken by a rookie. No thanks to a fake point guard shooting like he's Ray Allen

Steve is not bad if treat him like Rafer, bring the ball up and give to Tracy and spot up from 3 or drive. Steve is definitely a better FINISHER and REBOUNDER than Rafer. There BB IQ is about the same - 7th grade

If the Rocks get a backup 1, he'll replace Lucas, not Rafer.

this is a small list of who i mostly think are attainable not necessarily who i think would be ideal on the rockets.

    *diener for lucas

    *delonte west for bonzi
-boston needs vets and this would allow them to audtion bonzi if they choose to ink him for next season.

    *dickau for sura
-blazers dump salary, rockets might get someone better than lucas. maybe.

    *pargo for bonzi

~minny are currently 8th in ranking. they're not going to get rid of depth with the playoffs in sight. so i don't think they'll dump mike james for financial reasons, maybe in the off-season, or if they can get a vet pg in return before then.

Mike James isn't a Playmaker Point Guard. he is a shoot first Guard!

i can't imagine us going into the playoffs with no real backup PG.

just like the tsakalidis trade was insurance for the C possition, i think we need to do that same for the PG possition. we are one injury to rafer away from a losing streak.

bob sura (or he and bonzi) for a vet PG is exactly what we need.

Deteriorating? Up until this year he's improved in each of his NBA seasons with the capper being his All-Star caliber numbers from last year in Toronto. If the best answer you can come up with to explain the disappointment he's had in Minnesota is to blame it on his game deteriorating then it makes it painfully obvious you haven't watched the T-Wolves enough to realize how big of a mess that team is and how he's not a great fit there.

obviously rafer is not the worst point guard in the league.maybe its not who you want because yes, there are better point guards out there but just look at the game when he got ejected.the rockets could not get any offense working.he puts us into the offense and calls the plays.rafer is the floor general and he knows how to do it. hes one of the reasons the rockets havent tanked since yao went out.so to say hes the worst point guard in the league is a little overboard. i would rather have jkidd, franchise, and mike bibby rahter than rafer but he is not the worst point guard in the league.rafer is helping the rockets win ball games.if eric snow was our point guard id kill myself and say we had the worst point guard but rafer is a pretty decent one.

Nope, Francis is #1 now, so by your logic, TMac is the next to be cut. :D

Not by choice. Francis had to give up 3 to The Bury of Star. He told Bill W. that he wanted his number 3 back from Sura during pregame vs the knicks. He's ready, why wouldn't we be willing?

In today's USA today there is a blurb on the NBA page about Zach Randolph not being included in the All Star game. At the end of the piece they metion Dan Dickau as being possibly traded. I thought he played well for NO Hornets with control baall handling and crisp passing. I do not think he is an upgrade over Rafer. He could be had with something we can afford.

I like Rafer. Dickau is affordable and could give Rafer some rest.

Another player on the cheap-Najera of Denver. I doubt Denver would help us at all, but Eduardo Najera is a tough - physical player that could help us a lot and give Juwan some rest. I am not sure he is in Denver's long range plans with George Karl at the helm...

QUIT hating on Rafer so much. He is a solid PG and doesn't deserve all the crap he gets. Yeah he is frustrating at times but that is the exception rather than the norm.

I wouldn't read too much into Mike James losing minutes to Randy Foye. (Although everyone seems to play so well in a contract year.)

Minny has some strange affinity for combo guards (Foye, James, McCants, Hudson, almost took Luther Head in a draft day trade).

I think Foye was eager for KG's tutelage and by all accounts the vet and the rook worked a lot together to prepare for the season. MJames, by contrast, is a disgruntled head case veteran who signed with Minny to get his trade kicker and, perhaps, to take a swipe at his former team.

Ah, the power of forgiveness is tough. No trade kicker? I can't let you hurt me again! says MJames. So he hurts himself worse than he hurts the Rockets by signing with the TWolves.
