With every passing day it gets clearer that Rudy T had to go.

It is as simple as this: The NBA has changed alot since 1995. Rudy was still coaching in that mentality and he had an entirely different set of players. He just wasn't the man for this team, but that is not to say he wasn't one of the best coaches in the 90's.

JVG is taylormade for this team. His discipline and coaching strategies and improving our passing, defense and togetherness. And I think that he coaches from a less sentimental standpoint which is REALLY what we needed.

    Yep.

And if there is anyone who can get the most out of these guys it's Van Gundy. Playoffs here we come. Tee hee.

I have been one of JVG's biggest advocates even before he was hired and Rudy's biggest critics. But to be fair to Rudy we really can't say anything yet. I may personally believe that JVG is the more suitable coach for this team (note to codell, I did not say JVG is a better coach than Rudy) but he really hasn't done anything yet. Last year we started off well also, if you remember we were 3rd in the WC. Where did we finish? Same thing could happen again, the Rox on any given night are always a threat to turn into the old Rox. That doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence in me. When the season's all said and done and we're in the playoffs then I'll decide if nor not to kiss JVG's ass.

PS. A-Train's right, this board does have bi-polar disorder
PSS. We really should be 2-2, cuz we didn't deserve to win that NJ game, see game thread for explanation.

I read it and it's still untrue.

We won because we deserved it.

So what exactly did NJ do to deserve to win??

Im thinking that the team that scores the most points will always deserve to win. That is the name of the game right??

Winning teams find a way to play well down the stretch, at crunch time and win tough games on the road. Look at how Lakers beat the Bucs last nite. Of course we deserved to win...we played super when the game was on the line

And that is what we DID NOT DO LAST YEAR. JVG is having an instant impact. Our defense is already much better and is keeping us in games - and I think the offense will gradually come around with fewer TO's.

Like Bill Russell said when asked about the Celtic's luck "it's bad luck to be behind at the end of the game.":D
