Tyreke Evans and Stephen Curry has been playing really good actually and they would've gotten more credit had they not been on those sorry teams. Those 2 has more upside than Aaron imo. But we're talking about all star game here so I agree it's either Billups or Brooks. I hope Brooks gets in.

I think Billups is less deserving than AB, to be honest. Brooks has been a huge part in keeping this team afloat in a damned difficult conference, while Billups has a lot more help on his squad, while putting up numbers that aren't nearly up to his standard.

Brooks deserves the recognition, but Billups is going to Dallas for the same reason Garnett and Iverson are: brand-name recognition.

I'll make a bet....if Brooks gets in like I'm predicting...I should get my own little thing under my name like "The Predictor."

Billups shoots better on 3s and gets to the free throw line twice as often. That makes him a considerably more efficient scorer. The 44% vs 42% numbers you are citing is misleading.

Tyreke Evans or Monta Ellis should but their team sucks so they have no chance.

I want to agree with SO bad but honestly Billups has better stats on almost every category on a much better team and when their star went down he stepped up his game...to me that has all-star written all over it. Brooks will have his day but not this year.

he shoots .400 to ABs .390 on 3pt% so most of it is minute.

Brooks has to muster up a huge bulk of the rockets offense while playing next to 3 offensively INEPT players like hayes battier and ariza. He is the entire focal point of the offense unlike Billups who has 30ppg melo, martin, and J.R.

Billups is the smarter and better "PG" overall but AB has had a better season, and ultimately that is why he "Should" go to the all star game.

Billups and Brooks could BOTH get in. B Roy has been hurt and may not be healthy enough to play.

Blazers really can't afford to take the chance if he's not 100%

Billups is playing ridiculously well this month, even with the absence of Carmelo.

He played phenomenally against the Spurs today. His numbers have certainly been good this year, so he's definitely playing up to his standard.

    Billups deserves the nod.

That would be crazy!

Dwill/Brooks vs Drose/Rondo there could be so many first time PG All stars this year. Please make it happen I would literally go insane!

It is .418 versus .394, and again you are ignoring that he gets twice as many free throws and shoots 90% from the line. Just looking at Billups's FG% completely misses how efficient he is. He has been one of the most efficient scorers in the league for several years running.

Billups has more weapons around him, and yet he still manages to score at the same rate (far more efficiently), and get more assists, and play better defense.

Brooks has improved greatly, but he's the offensive leader of a mediocre offense, on a mediocre team. He's not an all-star this year.

Tyreke Evans would have been a shoe in if not for his team's horrible record

It'll go to Billups, nba.com already made a deal about him not originally being on it. Plus CB has a history....AB is still kinda young and hasn't got the reputation of CB.

If you are to use the fact that he has more talent to bolster the ppg in his favor, you can't do the same with assts. Better talent will undoubtedly bring you greater assists.

I realize your claim about that he is a better defender, etc and what not. But you aren't acknowledging the point I am trying to make. All star selections are based on the season a player has been having, all the tangibles. And by that standard brooks has been having a better season overall if you are to look back to november.

Yes, he does. 7 straight times getting his team to the conference finals. Under 4 different coaches, with 2 different franchises. Quite a history.
