1st of all, Philly lost leverage when AI demanded a trade. It wouldn't take TMac,Yao, Battier or Hayes to get him. If AI would go back to point guard, it would be feasible. However, I don't think he would. Offensively it would be fun; defense would be a nightmare, as would be his timeliness to non-game functions. I think we are better off without him in the long run. Being part of a 3-way would be nice though. It would fun to watch AI & MJ try to share the same basketball in Minny.
if AI goesto Minn, there is a good chance they wont make the playoffs (2 superstars and deplted roster in the west wont cut it). OTOH Philly could very well make the playoffs if they win their division, which they would have a good chance of doing if they play the Iverson trade right.
Guy on NBATV was talking about how the 76ers need some expiring contracts... sounds like a definite multiple team deal... maybe we can get in on that and add another piece... not AI, just another piece.
Shut up your stupdi go away. I hateee sJosh Swogger he sucks screw him he screwed over the Montana Grizzzlies beacausde he sucks I hope he goes away wfor ever and never comesback for the rest of his life go away.
The worst thing is that Yahoo! sports just reported that Dallas and Minnesota are the two top leading teams in getting AI. Imagine, AI and Dirk! They'll need four basketballs, 1 for Dirk, and 3 for Iverson.
I just hope he doesn't end up in Dallas. Let's just say Dallas doesn't need to be any better. Best case scenario: He goes to Dallas and kills the chemistry making them worse so Houston can be better. Worst case scenario: He goes to Dallas, meshes with the team well, and we meet them in the playoffs.
It's just....who would Dallas trade? Terry? Yea it makes sense to trade one small 2 guard for another small 2 guard, but to me, Terry is what Dallas needs. He penetrates, he can shoot from the perimeter moreso than Iverson, and he can run plays. I think he complements Dirk very well Howard? It would be tempting to get him on Philly's part, but Dallas not only gave up a young talent but now they're stuck with both Terry AND Iverson. I figured if Dallas was going to make a run at AI, it's gotta be either Terry or Howard gets shipped out with Croshere's expiring contract and another player. But if somehow they get Iverson w/o giving up Terry and Howard..wow....I will bow before Mark Cuban.
I guess YOFs wish Yao traded to Spurs to play with Duncan to make up new 'twin tower', or to Wolves with KG (same reason as above), or to knights with LBJ, who is preferred by referees and almost kicked off Pistons last year.
Devin Harris. Don't ask me why, but the article said that the Sixers wanted Harris as part of the deal Possibly as a future starting point guard of the 76ers? The Sixers would definitely like some support at the point guard position as they are loaded with fowards and Small forwards. Their guards are: Willie Green, Iverson, Louis Williams, Kevin ollie not exactly a scary packcourt. Devin Harris would join this trio and hopefully develop into a star (he's already a starter in Dallas).
Yea I just finished reading that just now. Hmm...I mean it still kind of redundant to not only have Iverson but also Terry. Mark Cuban said that they "wouldn't trade Devin"...probably mean they wouldn't trade him unless the price was right, and right now, that price IS right. What's funny is that this Iverson for Harris/Stackhouse/Croshere Actually works out (according to Realgm that is). Which makes me surprised and angry that something that this could actually happen for the Mavericks. Josh Howard, Dirk, Terry, AI...wow....talk about loaded.
Theres nothing to fix. T-Mac is one of the best post feeders in the league and he is also as dangerous as anyone off the pick and roll. He is perfect for this team while AI might break our chemistry.
Why very few here talking about trading Yao for another big guy? Some said dirk is way better than Yao and deserves more the POM awarded to Yao. And the two used-to-be high school rookie and now brilliant superstars, Tracy and KG will also lead Rockets to champion with high probability. Or some young rising stars, eg, Boozer, Howard, etc.
Luther Head 6-3 PG from Illinois 8.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.7 apg in 28.9 minutes Rafer Alston 6-2 PG from Frenso State 12.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.8 apg in 38.6 minutes Bob Sura 6-5 from Florida State No games yet played in 2005/06 Bonzi Wells 6-5 SG from Ball State 13.6 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.8 apg in 32.4 minutes Juwan Howard 6-9 PF from Michigan 11.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.7 minutes Incoming + 2 first round draft picks! For Allen Iverson 6-0 PG from Georgetown 33.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 7.4 apg in 43.0 minutes Bonzi would have to be traded after Jan 2nd. Successful Scenario Due to Houston and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Philadelphia had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. PG - Iverson SG - TMac SF - Battier PF - Hayes C - Yao I wish this would happen...
Did you know that Bonzi and Sura have not had an impact on our "rotation"? A.I. would take over Rafer's/Luther's minutes at PG. Juwan's minutes will go to Hayes and Novak.
