What's this whole at center crap I keep hearing about. It's funny cuz most teams don't even have true centers much less back up ones and if they do no playing time. A decent PF could be back up C now days aka DMO
Not holding my breath for that ever happening even though it should. I might've missed the convo on here but are they really gonna do Beard/Gordon as the starting backcourt? No way. I bet they'll still have Beverley walking the ball up and Gordon being 6th man. Still a lot of questions on the PG rotation....
That makes no sense. So having a bench is not good?. So who's golden states sixth man Livingston or iggy Cuz they both come off the bench?. Or is it Barnes
Of course ΓΌ need a bench but that doesn't mean just adding 3-4 guys that need the ball in their hands to be effective is right. That's the whole point. Adding someone like Crawford who without a doubt needs the ball in his hands to be effective makes no sense. Gordon and Beasley off the bench are already two guys that need the ball in their hands. It's about fit here and Crawford would just be redundant
I think i can tolerate Ariza starting another year, but not Patrick Beverly. If Bev was white, everyone would want him gone. He's just a hustle guy. That's it. He can't dribble, can't create, can't pass, can only shoot decent from spotting up wide open. His defense is just based on trying hard, but most of the time these days, he gets beat. Bev is fine in limited minutes off the bench so he can play as hard as possible without tiring. Bring in a starting PG and a backup SF with a vet minimum big man insurance like Amare. Barbosa for 3rd PG/SG is fine too since it's almost guaranteed he'd be needed once Gordon inevitably misses games. We need to resign DMO for the same reasons with Ryno.
I agree, no one between Harden and Gordon can guard pgs so... Btw hell no to Crawford, he's done, good chucker in regular season only, he always disappears in the playoffs and i bet he's going to get a double digit contract, just stay away. Tyler Johnson should be our target.
He's a pretty good playmaker whenever he isn't being lazy with the ball. If anything, the Harden/Gordon combo will be get more minutes together than Bev/Harden without a doubt.
Harden is not a 1. Being able to drive and pass out to the perimeter is not the same as directing an offense, and Harden has never shown any aptitude at the latter. None. He is a slow and predictable passer, and that's one of the reasons he's such a turnover machine. At some point, maybe it will occur to Morey that isoball with Harden won't win us anything and that a real offense requires a real PG. Combine that with the fact that Harden is a willing passer (just not a great one), and we'll have a good foundation for an efficient offense.
