should've been an "other - please specify" option.

in my reckoning, we should be able to beat denver in a 7-game series, the odds will be like 60%-40%. against new orleans and the mavs, it's 50-50. vs all others it's like 60-40 in our opponents' favor. tough road ahead.

Adelman has proven before he's got the wits to adapt. These past three games I've been absolutely convinced that he's holding something back. Against the Suns he held out Battier, against Denver Battier and Jackson, against Utah Rafer (because he didn't want any of his veteran PG's playing back to back nights). Even though we pulled the surprise victory from Phoenix, I think he wants to show his team that one win or loss will not shake the confidence that this club has built up over 82 games. He's leaving something out, and he'll put it back in along with all the other missing pieces in the first game of the playoffs.

    I'll see you there.

the rabid homer in me believes this. Even the substitutions makes me think adelman is more interested in getting the rookies into a groove than winning. Like tonight when the jazz go on run, and Adelman leaves the bench oin the game... let them figure out how to stop the bleeding...

Exactly. I'm worried that he won't drive to the basket and Adleman with hiis easy going manner will expect Tracy and the team to "figure things" out. In the playoffs the coach has to take more control since there is no room for error.
I just don't know if the Rockets have any real game plan going into the playoffs.
How are they going to make adjustments under pressure?
One thing is key, ball movement, penetration, and defense/rebounding.Only then can we get higher percentage shots but even then it remains to be seen how the players will do since all of them are shooting poorly.
I can live with a 1st round exit provided if they play intelligently and at a high intensity level consistently but we have been limping since the end of the streak without any rhythm with the odd surprising good game in my opinion. This is also the worst time to get injuries as well.
We must win against the Clippers and not get overconfident or nervous against them. It's not going to be easy just because of our last win in LA.

We entered the playoffs red hot in 2005, and... well we all know how that ended.

We entered the playoffs ice cold in 1995, and...

Of course I still believe. Do I expect us to win it all? Nah, I'm not going to go that far just yet. But we can make more than enough noise to make the entire city of Houston proud.

In my understanding, if San Antonio beats Utah, and we beat the Clippers, we'll have homecourt. So, not all hope is lost yet. Let's wait a couple days to see how it plays out.

    :)
