We can win. We should have lost that game by alot more than we did. I have faith Tmac will turn in on during the playoffs. He alway does.

If you play out the scenario you choose, we will still be 5th seed. The tiebreaker between the two teams will be their conference records, which would be:

    PHX: 31-21
    HOU: 33-19

The critics thought the team wouldn't even make the playoffs...so the critics were, in fact, wrong.

The problem is the team is really going to start to miss Yao in the playoffs, in a seven game, grind-it-out series. They are going to miss his low-post presence.

I'm proud of this team for persevering when T-Mac, then Yao went down...proud of the win-streak, proud of them flirting with the number one seed, the division title, proud of the fact they still have a chance for home court and definitely proud they are going to the postseason.

The Suns are currently losing to GS and the Spurt are beating the Kings. If Phoenix loses and San Antonio wins, then we are locked into the #5 seed. We can't move up or down and the last game of the season will only count towards HCA should the Jazz lose to SA.

I think Utah takes out SA and we finish up like this.

    3. Utah 55-27
    4. Phoenix 55-27
    5. SA 55-27
    6. Houston 55-27

If SA is really as smart as everyone think that they are, they'll try to beat the Jazz so they can match up with the Rockets in the first round. Phoenix has destroyed them the past two times with Shaq.

Basically, it boils down to who gets to play the Rockets when the Jazzholes play the Spurs. I hope Bowen happens to fall on D-Will's knee or rolls his ankle or something....

I would rather play the Jazz than the Spurs.

Why not? It's sports... What's the point in not believing?

You believe in a hypothetical Rockets team that results from trading Rafer and TMAC for Hinrich and Deng and for Francis to play like he hadn't lost his hops and actually increased his BB IQ in the past 10 years. Hope you got a magic lamp or a monkey paw or something. If you do, wish for a TMAC-Lebron trade and a Rafer/Chris Paul trade. Both TMAC (18.5 mil) and Rafer (4.55mil) are making more than Lebron (13.04 mil) and Paul (3.61 mil). Yes, know Lebron and Paul will get PAID later, but for what they bring so much more per $ than Mac and Rafer.

Here's a Mike James-like factoid that'll ruin your day. Rafer is on a 6-year 26.25 million dollar contract.

Oops I am sorry. I forgot the  face. My bad but for those of you that still don't get it my point is I don't believe in TMac or Rafer.

I don't think that San Antonio can get the Rockets now.

They won tonight so if they beat the Jazz they are 3rd, if they lose to the Jazz, it is a 3 way tie with Phoenix and we drop to 6th....

So, either we are 5th without Homecourt or 6th without homecourt.

    I still believe.

I know that our guys are going to step up and play well.

My only concern is TMac. Tonight really shook my belief that he was going to be a beast. He wilted, and complained the whole time while wilting.

IF he steps up, we win. Everyone else will play hard and will do their part, but we can't win a 7 games series if he doesn't.

I'd never say the Rockets can't get past the first round. But, I wouldn't pick them to win against any WC team, other than Denver. We lack athletes, and the defense has fallen off. Landry hasn't recovered his hops. Rafer is just undependable. McGrady's shooting is just as erratic. I just don't see enough stability on this team right now.

My head hurts while I try to figure out who we'll be facing. This is ridiculous. At the same time, I like that teams are thinking about "tanking" to get us. That's a slap in the ROckets face, and a hard enough one for the team to become re-energized as an underdog.

Man, it hurts so much that we've lost these two games, but I still believe.

Even if we were 8th seed and T-Mac was crippled I'd still believe.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

The Rockets probably have gone as far as possible without Yao....

I hope they win a series, but I just don't see it.....

Tmac has gone back to holding the ball at the top and the Rockets are easy to guard....

Sorry, I thought we might be able to pull it off if we somehow got HCA, but not this year....

Going fishin early again, I think.

I believe in everyone except TMAC. He is going to have to prove to me he has what it takes to lead this team when we need it against the JAZZ or SPURS. Not the SONICS and HEAT. If he hustles all game and drives to the basket relentlessly then I believe. But it wont happen. We will lose if we play the JAZZ and we will trade him in the offseason. I hope I am wrong though.

Well you are right, that's the easiest way to guard T-Mac. But tonight it didn't matter cause we were down a lot. Tracy didn't belive, wasn't agressive so he just was holding the ball at the top and looking to pass it for someone else.

Wait DD, I still belive we can win PO serie

I got it and I could not agree more. Call me crazy but I think if TMAC was being guarded by Artest we might could win. But TMAC HAS NO ANSWER FOR THAT BEAST KORVER. I hope Adleman can come up with some way to keep Korver off of TMAC so he can impose his will.

The Rockets will not beat Utah without HCA, not sure anyone would. The Scola/Boozer matchup is interesting though. Actually I would rather the Rockets face any team except Utah, I think they just have our number.
